This cozy little bunkie is located across the road from the shores of the North Channel. Features two single beds and a bathroom with stand up shower. All linens are included.No pets
Keurig and kettle included along with coffee and tea for your morning needs.
The bunkie is located less than a 5 minute walk from the Gore Bay Harbour where there is Split Rail Brewery, Buoys Eatery and shopping.

Immaculately clean and nicely decorated. It was a relief to find somewhere that would take our, small, non- shedding, dog.Please note, this is a small bunkie set behind a house so no views and limited seating inside (one chair).Could do with some upgrades and tlc (shower, towel rails would be useful. It would be good to have known we needed to bring a hairdryer).We rented in mid-September. There were very limited dining options in Gore Bay (none at all on the Tuesday evening, and the supermarket closes at 6). Leanne: please provide a hotplate and minimal cookware (skillet, saucepan with lid)! None of this is expensive and a portable hotplate is easy to get from IKEA. A toaster oven is not enough!Were surprised to be sent a bill for an extra 92 including the VRBO service charge shortly before our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in the bunkie, it had everything we needed to enjoy our time in Gore Bay!! Would definitely recommend to others and would also stay here again :)

It was awesome! The beach view access was so nice! The bunkie was clean and had everything we needed. Super peaceful and quiet with lots of things to do nearby!

Great location, quaint, nicely furnished, and perfect for a quiet retreat. Just needs a little tlc on the shower and floor. Aside from that a very comfortable little gem!

Island getaway

Great spot with beautiful water views. Was a great place to rest our heads after full days of exploring. For wifi, if network doesn’t come up, turn your wifi off/on and it should appear.

Great little spot!!

Perfectly clean, tiny little bunkie. Stocked with every amenity you could possibly need. A short walk or bike ride to many restaurants! Fantastic location to drive to many hikes on the island. Would stay here again for sure!

Beautiful spot

We throughly enjoyed our stay here at the bunkie on Gore Bay. Quiet and peaceful location within walking distance of the harbor and eateries. We enjoyed coffee each morning and wine each evening with the visiting resident deer. Leeanne provided us with great suggestions for hiking and was very easy to work with.

Small but sweet

What a nice place to stay. Great location and well equipped bunkie. If only it hadn’t rained almost the whole time we were there! Thankfully the tv worked fine so we caught up on old movies.

Relaxing getaway

What a wonderful friendly island. So much to explore. Our bunkie was so comfortable and a great location in Gore Bay. Our host had a great welcome package for us. Clean and nicely decorated walking distance to town and restaurant. Will be back with my husband next time.

Fish trip

Was a great place to stay as we were just there to go fishing only down side was wish there was a fire pit location next to the water and a fire pit would have been great as there is nothing to do at night and the only other small thing was the wifi password wasnt right neither of use could even find the wifi on our devices

The bunkie was very cosy and clean, however the picture on line doesn't show the actual bunkie as it's located behind the picture listed on line. The only thing I would suggest is having a door/wall for the bathroom with its own sink as using the kitchen sink to wash your hands where food is prepared is not very sanitary.Other than the washroom concern, the amenities were plenty and the view was breathtaking.

We have never stayed in a bunkie before and probably won’t again. Did not realize the bathroom was just a corner of the room with no door - right next to the “kitchen” sink. The beds look pretty but not particularly comfortable. Left early as couldn’t get a good night’s rest.

Vey basic Tiny cottage with Terrible WIFI or nonexistent, which is a MUST because the tiny cottage is located in a dead zone for phones. We had to leave the place (because we need WIFI to work) and still dealing with VRBO for a fair refund of 1 night. FIRST and LAST time that i booked something thought VRBO.

Bunkie 101

Firstly, although distant, Leanne answered all questions. The Bunkie was very cute and comfortable. Located behind the house, your view is not great. But it’s just a short walk to water, to town, to the marina, to the lighthouse, to Bouy’s restaurant, etc. We had a great time there. Only negative was lack of good internet service but we had that off for most of our trip anyway and checked in with wifi and different services establishments on our travels around the island. Overall great location and we brought a little bbq with us to grill up some healthier meals because there is a lot of fried food on the island.

Things to know before you book

The good and the bad. Only means tp cook anything, is a toaster oven. No BBQ, microwave or hotplate. We brought up steaks so the next door neighbor let us use theirs. When i messaged the owner the did offer to bring us one, so make sure to request ahead. No firepit to sit around which is unfortunate because where we parked the car would have a great spot to view the lake as well. The cabin although niceky decorated, is run down and has a huge ant problem. From when we arrived we noticed them on the counters pretty bad, and this was with zero food out i might add, climbing the walls, as one was on the toilet paper roll, night rable, and unfortunately in my bed, which was the one closest to the wall. I notifified the owner after our first night we wouldn't be staying the 3 nights. Hee response was. "There wasn't any on the day she cleaned", yet they have several ant traps throughout the bunkie. No offer to discount or refund was given. We stayed only the second night because we came from 5 hours away and hadn't had the chance to do anything as check÷in is at 3, and we also brought our dog and there's not many options for pets. The other thing, although not a hige issue for us, but should be made aware ito people is this bunkie is located BEHIND a house literally a few feet. Maybe 6 ft.. There's no place to sit out accept the tintmy porch with 2 wicker chairs. You can peer through the 2 houses to sorts see the bay. The good is, it's close to restaurants and marina.

The place was very clean. It had somewhat of a view. Well stopped with a special touch of treats. I don’t know what else to say. It was a very good place to stay.
