Clean, cute, close to everything. We had a great visit to Newport and enjoyed the lodgings, though I wish there was a toaster, a larger mini-fridge for leftovers, and a 2nd fan. Very close to the sea lions (they are very vocal:) hahaha!) and we didn't notice the white noise machine until the last day :) but I probably didn't read every detail in the listing. Otherwise, a great location, beautiful views, and very memorable!

Fireplace is non operational. Sea lion barking is never ending. I would not call the coffeebar a kitchenette. The room needs maintenance, especially with water spray out the bottom of the shower door. But it was interesting to watch boats come and go, and convenient location to town.

Thank you for the review and for sharing what worked well and where we can improve. I'm so glad you enjoyed the waterfront views and that the location was convenient for you. We've reported the shower door spray to our maintenance team so they can inspect and repair the issue. I can confirm they have already repaired the fireplace, as well. We do show in the listing photos what's included in the kitchenette so our guests can prepare accordingly. That said, we will happily work to clarify that for future guests. Clean room; nice fireplace; poor accommodations for coffee…regular coffee maker but no cups except for tiny paper cups. There were a lot of ants. Very loud neighborhood.

Great Location!

This was the perfect spot for a lovely solo trip for myself to Newport. The room was in a great location and beautifully decorated. The daybed in the window is great for enjoying a coffee and a book. The balcony overlooking the bay is a great amenity as well. I would definitely stay here again!

Great spot on the bay

We really loved this room on the bay! So close to shopping and wonderful restaurants. Great views and a very cozy room. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Cute comfortable, and great location

We loved our stay so much. Well appointed adorable studio. Loved the deck with the amazing view and right on the water. A great location being right on the waterfront in Newport. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great location!

Such a great location! Walking distance to shops, restaurants, art galleries and seal watching from the deck. We woke up to a stormy morning but loved watching the swells and the ships coming in to the bay from our cozy room. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean.

I do not often leave negative reviews, but I believe it is important to share our experience.We have visited Newport for many years, but this property did not match its listing. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, the porch was filthy and had cigarette butts, and the floors were dirty. We had to purchase cleaning supplies ourselves.The bedding was unacceptable: there was blood on the sheets, and the linens were dirty. The towels were old and worn, and only one bath towel and one hand towel were provided. Mold was present, the shower door was dirty and leaked water onto the bathroom floor, and the closet slider did not work.After traveling a long distance, we had no alternative but to stay. I became ill for about a week afterward, which was especially difficult because I have an autoimmune condition.Management would not provide a refund or another room and instead offered a credit. I will not use it and do not plan to stay at this property or any of the company’s properties again.My kiddos and I didn’t they deserve that.

Top Notch Location

The nearby restaurants were excellent, especially MO’s across the street. Parking was a minor problem and the constant sea lion chorus was a little bothersome, but we grew to like it.

Perfect getaway for 2!

Property was perfect, great location to get out and enjoy what historic bayfront has to offer. We enjoyed great food, shopping and sight seeing. Even got a little crabbing in at the Rogue brewery. Food advice: say yes to Gino's and the fish peddler👍We will be back...rooms are right on the water!

Clean room, cute. Great view out the window and door. Wish we’d been made aware of the volume of the sea lions and that we’d be advised the day we received the combo to get in that we’d need to pick up ear plugs and a sound cancelling unit in the room. Other than that very cute and very good location.

Sea Lion Paradise

Our stay in the garden room at Meredith Lodging far exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and cozy. We absolutely LOVE visiting the sea lions at Newport and being able to enjoy them day and night was the highlight of the trip. The bayfront is a very special place for my husband and me and we will definitely return hopefully sooner than later!

My daughter picked this property to stay at because of the little window seat/bed which she wanted to have all to herself. She loved it! We heard a few sea lions but not many. It was fun to watch the boats go by. The deck needed to be cleaned though.
