We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay at the Palmetto! We visited in late September, so a lot of the local spots were closed for the season. I attempted to call LakeStays 3 times before our trip in order to get more information on what is available during this time of year, and no one answered or gave me a call back after leaving voicemails. On the fourth time someone answered and said they were going to look into if there was live music that weekend and that she would give me a call back, which did not happen. The check-in process was clearly spelled out in the email, so we were able to get in with no problem, but the communication could definitely be better. The house itself was beautiful and had every amenity you could want. The outdoor areas were quite dirty, and the plants looked like they had not been watered all season, but other than that, the house was great. Carlton Landing is a precious little town, and we will definitely be back!

Great House, Good Location, Fair Price, Bad Staff

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house overall. Clean, very large, a bit of a walk from the main areas of town. There were nine of us, and we all comfortably fit. When we called for assistance unlocking the door, the woman on the other end was incredibly condescending (and incorrect). The pricing was fair, but I don't like that the fee structure hides much of the cost until checkout.
