Hvis du leder efter fuldstændig afslapning, kan du slappe af ved uendelig pool mindre end fem minutters gang fra Villaen eller frokost og lur ved strandpromenaden og restauranten før din eftermiddagsmassage på stranden. Både master og andet soveværelser går ud til en stor balkon, hvor du kan nyde din morgenkaffe eller solnedgangsvin, se på skrigende aber, der svinger i træerne, eller leder efter hvaler, delfiner og manta-stråler i bugten. Det tredje soveværelse vender ud mod den anden retning over øerne i Papagayo-bugten. Lokale kunst- og lærredstryk af kulisser fra hele området dekorerer væggene. Villaen er udstyret med et vandfiltreringssystem, så du behøver ikke at købe drikkevand. This is an absolutely wonderful place for a relaxing vacation. The villa is well appointed with beautiful ocean views. We saw many birds flying in and out of the trees in front of the patio and were visited by monkeys and the occasional iguana. It is a private space with the ability to go out to the restaurant if you want to. The upper pool is a short walk up the hill and we were alone there most of the time. The villas are on a hillside so we just drove down to the beach\restaurant\bar as there is a parking lot at the bottom. You should have a vehicle or a golf cart to access the beach. You can walk but you should be in good shape if that is your plan. A wonderful vacation spot. 5 stars!

This is a beautiful home in a very tranquil location on a hillside with beautiful views. Our host Roxy is very accommodating and quick to respond with any questions or requests. She truly wants you to have a wonderful Costa Rico experience. I truly recommend and look forward to returning. If you won’t have a car, I recounting a golf cart to move around the resort and go into town. We had both but frankly the golf cart was much more fun!

We just got back from a wonderful week at Roxi's villa. The view from the villa is incredible. The villa was very well appointed with everything we needed. Everything was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. It was a hot week! It is so convenient being just up the hill from the beautiful, sandy beach, showers, pool and restaurant all right there. The food and drinks at the restaurant were superb! We were able to snorkel right from the beach and saw so many colorful fish and sea turtles. There were howler monkeys in the trees by the beach one day and up by our villa another. We walked from our beach over to the next cove and enjoyed the restaurant on the beach there too. We adventured to the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano for ziplines, white water tubing, horseback riding, hot springs and a mud bath. We also checked out the Llanos de Cortez waterfall for fun. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and place to stay. Roxi was great about answering all of my questions. She recommended a place for a rental car. Normally you have to take a shuttle to the rental car place from the airport, but because we were recommended by Roxi, they had the car waiting for us at the airport and we were able to just leave the car at the airport too! I would highly recommend staying at this villa.

A slice of paradise

Our family of four had the most wonderful stay in this villa. It was impeccably clean and well-appointed. The resort was absolutely wonderful. The beach was private and the views were incredible. We have already recommended Bahia Pez Vela to several friends who want to visit CR and have more space than a hotel room but with the resort amenities.

Relaxation Vacation!

The property is outstanding! Gorgeous and exactly as described! Tucked up high on a hill but just minutes down to the beach bar/restaurant, which was also five star all the way!!

Beautiful home in a great location

We are a family of 6 adults who have been planning a trip to Costa Rica for years. This home in Bahia Pez Vela was the perfect location for our stay. There are so many places to explore within a 2 hour radius. Roxi is a very responsive host. I highly recommend!

Everything about our stay was amazing! The views incredible, our host, Roxi, accessible and communicative, the concierge, Eddie, very helpful for information and booking excursions, the restaurant food delicious, pools beautiful and relaxing, and beach stunning and felt private!We loved relaxing on the balcony enjoying the view, watching the active colorful birds and listening to the howler monkeys. The gourmet kitchen made preparing meals in the villa a delight! We were very comfortable (2 couples and 3 teens) with the bedroom and bathroom accommodations. Everything was clean, nicely decorated and spacious. The hill for accessing lower pool, restaurant and beach was a slow climb for some of us, but we were prepared from reading previous reviews and drove if we didn’t feel like making the climb. However, since we were never in a hurry we mostly enjoyed the walking. The upper pool was very close and had great view as well. Usually we were the only people there. We would absolutely return given the opportunity! Thank you Roxi and Bahia Pez Vela staff!

Spring Break 2024

Great property for a family vacation. Beautiful location close to the beach with an outstanding view. Howler monkeys, iguanas, and numerous birds all from the back patio. Costa Rica is an incredible destination and should be on everyone’s vacation bucket list.

Just what we needed!

So enjoyed our stay here. The house was perfect for what we needed and Roxi was very helpful and informative when needed. The walk down and back up from the beach was a great workout, if we stayed longer we’d be in excellent shape. 😊 Totally loved the privacy of the house, the help from Cesar et al., the good eating at the restaurant and the smaller beach.

Private neighborhood with secluded beach

The property and villa was beautiful. Quite property. The villa was updated and spacious with beautiful views. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Ourdoor patio and balcony had comfortable furniture to enjoy the scenery/nature. One of our favorite memories was getting madsages on our balcony during sunset. Easy booking through the resort for all activities and massages. The secluded beach has beautiful black sand and we got to see howler monkeys while we were enjoying a day on the beach.

MN meets Pura Vida!

Fabulous vacation home! Chef’s kitchen overlooking the Pacific to cook your fresh seafood. Wonderful beds/ linens. Huge patio overlooking the bay. Gorgeous gardens and monkeys visited our patio in the trees just outside. Lots of delicious restaurants nearby and the resort restaurant was great as well. Resort was very private and staff were so friendly. Communication with Roxi was easy and helpful. Sad to be leaving this special spot! Thank you, Roxi!!!

Villa was very clean and well appointed. Recently upgraded. Roomy and tropical. Beach restaurant on site was better than any in Playas del Coco. Restaurant staff very friendly, professional. Costa Rican people are beautiful and friendly and were the highlight of my trip.

Amazing stay!

This was our 2nd time at this small but upscale resort, this time in a different villa. This villa was fantastic, amazing views, and had everything we needed for a great stay. The owner is helpful and available, and the resort staff are too. The restaurant, pool and beach are wonderful. It is a short invigorating walk from the beach to the villa - well worth it for the amazing views from the decks. The upstairs deck was as comfortable and inviting as the main floor terrace - all with great views of the hillsides, water and if you’re an early riser, birds! I enthusiastically recommend this rental!

Family Vacation with young adult children (18; 20 and 24)

We loved our time at this villa in Costa Rica! The villa has amazing views, comfortable beds and an amazing kitchen. The resort is beautiful and meticulously maintained. The owner provided detailed information that we needed and checked in on us after our arrival to see if we needed anything. The resort arranged transportation to and from the airport, our car rental and our excursions. The staff (especially Sebastian) at the beach club were all kind and helpful. We all loved this vacation.

Paradise

This is our second trip to Costa Rica, our first trip to Bahia Pez Vela. The home itself was beautiful, well stocked, and immaculate, as well as the grounds. The view was incredible. It was a bit of a hike to get back from the beach or Soluna, but well worth it. The staff and Roxi were very attentive and we encountered zero issues during our stay. The availability of excursions and quality of tours were perfect for our family with teens. I highly recommend this property!

Costa Rican Paradise

We can't say enough good things about this property. Our Villa was gorgeous, immaculate inside, landscaping was beautiful, and everything worked as is it should. The views, especially the sunset, were stunning. This Villa, as all of the Villas are in this resort, are separate/stand alone units, this provides for privacy and peace and quiet. The resort staff are all very friendly. The two resort concierge staff we dealt with, Cesar and Abigail are two of the nicest, most helpful folks you will come across.

Hi! We live in western Canada, and love our Costa Rican getaway! In our owner profile photo we are enjoying an amazing, romantic dinner for two on the beach. Our on-site restaurant is just amazing and offers so many extras like this. We feel very fortunate to have them on the property!

We try to spend Oct-Dec at the Villa each year, basking in the sun and enjoying the luxury, tranquility, and activities of the area. Our typical day starts with a hike or a run in the mountains up behind the resort, or a bike ride to the neighboring village of Hermosa. Then we don't feel guilty while we eat our usually rather large breakfast out on the patio, watching the monkeys feeding on our trees out front or the manta rays jumping in the bay. Afternoons we usually read, nap, and play some cards, and evenings we can often be found at the Maracuya Beach Club, our on-site bar and restaurant, savoring their amazing food. We do like to cook too though, and a stop at the nearby fish monger fills the BBQ with the catch of the day, often complemented by a few of the local (and huge) prawns -- all fresh from the ocean that morning. We also enjoy heading out for live music or a weekly bingo game in town. Of course, when we have guests we have to be a little more active, which is pretty simple as the area offers so many adventures! Ahh...... life is tough.

The lap of luxury set in complete privacy, with resort amenities just a few steps away. The best of everything! We chose this site for our Villa based based on two main factors -- the incredible views and the seclusion. Although it's just a few minutes walk to the pool, restaurant, and sandy beach, it feels secluded because of the unique setting within the resort. The yard is very private, filled with lush foliage on either side and filled with beach and ocean views as far as you can see out the front.

Town is 3 miles away. We rent a car for our stays, but taxis are super easy too, costing just $10 each way. And there's no shortage of fun to be had in town!

Our Villa is unique within the resort in that it is completely detached and set on it's own large, private lot. This was the major reason we chose it when we purchased it new in 2004. A couple of years ago, we completed renovated to raise the Villa to the highest level of luxury in the resort, using mainly local materials to maintain a Costa Rican vibe.
