With space for up to 8 guests, 3 bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms, there’s room for families and groups to settle in comfortably. Grab a kayak, explore the lake, or slow down and enjoy the fall colours from the waterfront. Inside, relax by the fireplace or cook together in the chef’s kitchen, with hiking trails and outdoor adventures nearby.

Come in, get comfortable, and settle into a cottage with plenty of space to enjoy together. The open-concept main floor connects the living room, kitchen, and dining area, with the primary bedroom and a full bathroom just off the main living space. Upstairs, two additional bedrooms, a second full bathroom, and a dedicated workspace give everyone a little more room to spread out and unwind.

Spacious Kitchen

As you step inside the cottage, you’re welcomed by the bright, open kitchen, equipped with a full-size fridge, gas stove, dishwasher, beer fridge, and new appliances. Plenty of counter space and storage make it easy to unpack groceries and prepare meals, while the large island gives everyone room to cook and gather together. With cookware, utensils, and everyday kitchen essentials available, you’ll have what you need for everything from a quick breakfast to dinner for the whole group.

Welcoming Dining Area

Just beyond the kitchen, the dining area continues the open-concept flow with a spacious table that seats approximately eight guests, plus two high stools at the kitchen island for additional seating. Gather around for shared meals, bring out the cards or board games, or plan the next day’s adventures around Bancroft. It’s an easy gathering spot for everyone to reconnect and enjoy time together at the cottage.

Cozy Living Room

Settle into the bright living room, where the spacious sectional has room for around eight guests to gather comfortably. Start your morning with coffee by the large windows while taking in the fall views before heading out to kayak on Albion Lake. Later, warm up by the fireplace or enjoy a movie together.

Restful Master Bedroom

Moving from the shared spaces, the blue-painted master bedroom is conveniently located on the main level and features a king bed, bedside tables with reading lights, a ceiling fan, and blackout curtains for a restful night’s sleep. The large window brings in natural light and views of the surrounding trees, so you can wake up to the changing fall colours when you’re ready. With a full bathroom right beside the bedroom, equipped with his-and-hers sinks, you have a comfortable and convenient place to recharge.

Comfortable Bedroom 2

Upstairs beside the staircase, Bedroom 2 features a queen bed, generous closet space, and convenient shelving above the bed where guests can keep and charge their phones overnight. A large window fills the room with natural light and frames views of the surrounding trees and seasonal colours. With the second full bathroom right next to the bedroom, guests have a comfortable and convenient space to settle in away from the main-level living areas.

Flexible Bedroom 3

Continuing upstairs past the queen bedroom and bathroom, Bedroom 3 is the bunk room, giving families or groups a flexible space to settle in together. The room has a really nice view of the lake, bringing the waterfront setting right into the bedroom. Its location on the upper level keeps it close to both the second full bathroom and the dedicated workspace, while still giving guests some separation from the main gathering spaces downstairs.

Refreshing Full Bathroom 1

Located on the main level beside the master bedroom, this full bathroom includes a stand-up shower, toilet, double-sink vanity, and large mirror. The two sinks give guests more room to get ready at the same time. Its location next to the master bedroom also makes it easy to freshen up and settle in after enjoying a crisp fall day at the cottage.

Convenient Full Bathroom 2

Located upstairs between Bedroom 2, the queen bedroom, and Bedroom 3, the bunk room, the second full bathroom gives guests staying upstairs their own convenient space to get ready. A spacious vanity provides room for personal belongings, while the bench with open shelving and wall hooks gives guests practical spots for towels, clothes, and everyday items. It’s a useful second bathroom for families or larger groups sharing the cottage.

Quiet Workspace

At the top of the stairs, the loft opens directly to a dedicated workspace with a desk, comfortable chair, task lighting, and a monitor available for guests to use. Surrounded by windows, the space brings in plenty of natural light and offers beautiful views, giving you a pleasant spot to catch up on emails, take a call, or get a little work done while still enjoying the cottage setting. Right across from the workspace, you’ll also find yoga mats, exercise bands, and a skipping rope for guests who want to stay active during their stay.

Practical Laundry Area

Back on the main level, the laundry area is tucked neatly behind a sliding barn door near the living room, with a stacked washer and dryer available during your stay. It gives you an easy way to refresh clothes and towels, especially after enjoying the lake or exploring outdoors during the fall. Having laundry right at the cottage also makes longer stays easier, letting you pack lighter and take care of muddy or wet clothes without leaving the property.

Scenic Surroundings

Step outside and head down the gentle slope on the property to Albion Lake, with the waterfront right at the cottage. Grab a kayak and spend time out on the lake, then come back to relax outdoors, gather around the firepit, or simply take in the colourful fall scenery surrounding the property. With the cottage tucked among the trees and Bancroft about 20 minutes away, you can enjoy a quieter waterfront setting while still being close enough to head into town and explore.

Before you pack your bags for Albion Lake, here are a few helpful things to know so you can arrive prepared and make the most of your cottage stay.

BBQ: The cottage has a charcoal BBQ with a small outdoor couch seating area nearby. The back deck also has fairy lights for evenings outside.

Waterfront & Dock: Water depth fluctuates throughout the seasons, but the water at the end of the dock is typically around knee-deep, so guests should not dive from the dock. The lake bottom can be a little mucky, so we recommend bringing water shoes.

Water Equipment: We provide two kayaks and life jackets on-site. If you’re travelling with children, we recommend bringing properly fitted life jackets for them.

Fishing: The dock is a great spot for fishing, with a stream running right beside the property. Guests can fish directly from the dock or take one of the kayaks out onto the lake to fish.

Outdoor Seating: Folding chairs and one tanning chair are available for guests to use.

Firepit: We supply firewood, but it is stored outside without a cover. If it has rained, the wood may be difficult to light, so guests may want to bring their own dry logs.

Fall/Winter Considerations: Albion Lake freezes over in the winter, so the kayaks are not recommended for winter use.

Parking: The property can comfortably accommodate approximately four to five vehicles.

Water & Septic: The cottage is on a septic system, so we ask guests to be mindful of what they flush down the toilets. The property is also on well water, which is tested every year and is drinkable.

Noise & Neighbours: There are no specific quiet hours. However, we ask guests to be respectful while outside and on the lake because sound travels across the water.

Safety: Children should always be supervised around the lake, dock, firepit, and water equipment.

Garbage Separation: Proper garbage separation is important at the cottage. Full instructions are provided in the house rules.
