Relaxing family getaway

Most comfortable and enjoyable stay with perfect positioned cottage. The natural environment is spectacular, we discovered so many wonderful elements of nature up close all form the property surrounds.

Tranquil retreat

We spent a wonderful week here. I won't repeat the effusive comments of the previous reviews, just to say they're accurate. One thing - our favourite moments were stepping outside onto the verandah in the morning with a cup of coffee and seeing wallabies grazing just a few metres from the cottage. Highly recommended!

Kate & Les visit

Lemon Tree Cottage was just as we expected it to be. We had a wonderful 3 nights stay and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As it was cold we found the log burner was a big bonus.

Wedding Getaway

The perfect property for relaxing before and after our wedding. We were lucky enough to have echidnas and kangaroos visit us daily. The property is just spectacular!!!

Comfy, characterful bushland cottage

Reviewer Comments: We found ourselves scaping the city for three nights on an acreage only just within sight of another dwelling and the traffic sounds of civilization, and what a lovely experience it was! Lemon Tree Cottage has been lovingly refurbished from the original spartan mid-20th century fibro bush shack. Now it boasts a comfortable 3 bedroom house with an int3ersting outdoor "dining pavillion", all with vaguely Victorian features, plus an established cottage garden on a site with a little creek. There are pleasant walks both on the property and up the country roads nearby if you want to view the local wildlife ie many kangaroos and the odd cow. Everything inside Lemon Tree Cottage was of generous standard, from the king bed, fly screens even on verandah doors, quality kitchen equipment, fresh cushions and upholstery on the comfortable indoor and outdoor furniture...the list goes on. Fireplace was effective but hardly necessary at mid season, BBQ spanking new, TV had Netflix while the garden and house itself has a range of places to relax, read, or just contemplate as the mood takes you. Highly recommended. And good value too, since with only one bathroom and being a 5 minute drive from the centre of Kangaroo Valley this is more moderately priced than many of the flashier holiday rentals in the area. Perfect for a couple.

Pre Wedding Accomodation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed here with my bridesmaids prior to my wedding. When we arrived the floors were still dirty and my wedding dress’ train was very dirty (I had to get it out of my dress bag to avoid creases)The cottage was beautiful but due to its isolated area, even with instructions every single person who came to the cottage got lost, I missed out on valuable photography and videography time. Didn’t get a single photo with my mum because she continuously had to drive out to Bendeela road to find my services. I would recommend the cottage, but not to a bridal party. A sign really needs to be placed on the main road advertising the cottage’s location, I’d hate for other brides to experience what I did, crying on my wedding morning because I felt all the money I paid was for naught.

Perfect

Being out of town made this property serene and calming for 2 city slickers like us. Everything has been thought of here, best 3 nights sleep in years. We will return!

Secluded with no traffic noise. Private with beautiful vistas from all windows. A fireplace for atmosphere. Self contained with a fabulous kitchen so I can do my magic making delicious meals. Character filled decor inside and out. It is cute as a button.

Great weekend escape

We had a wonderful long weekend stay. Lemon tree cottage is very well appointed, caters for all ages. Wonderful Australian wildlife to see and hear all within the cottage. We will be back! And yes Kangaroo Valley would have to be one of the most scenic valleys on the Eastern coast of NSW.

Beautiful family getaway

Check in was super easy and when we arrived, the house was sparkling clean and fresh with plenty of the comforts of home, as well as a lovely bottle of wine as a gift. We loved the fireplace during our stay (which was cold and wet, but oh so cosy inside!) and truly appreciated the little touches such as quality linen on the beds, a heated floor in the bathroom and Nespresso coffee machine with pods. The kitchen was very well stocked with pantry items and facilities and we made good use of it as well as visiting local restaurants/cafes in the local village and Berry. The property was so beautiful, with lovely gardens and lush forests, creeks and bush surrounding it. We explored a bit with the kids and saw lots of kangaroos and much to our excitement, also wombats! We really had the best stay and made the most of some down time and relaxation as well. Kangaroo Valley is just a beautiful place to visit! We’d love to return and highly recommend Lemon Tree Cottage to others.

Relax in a beautiful part of the Valley

It is the perfect place to forget about all the uncertainty in the world and escape from all the troubles. It is fully equipped with everything needed for a few days and the beautiful creek running alongside the property was a delight to explore. We will definitely be back for a few days next year. We loved it so much.

Cosy and tasteful. Loved the nearby creek and wallabies.

The cottage is gorgeous and is full of charm. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy doing very little.

Absolute relaxation

This property is wonderfully secluded and yet only a five minute drive into town. It had everything we needed for a much needed weekend escape. We will definitely be back!
