Nyd en spektakulær udsigt over bjergkæden i San Juan (inklusive Sneffles) fra alle sydvendte værelser i vores et soveværelse / et bad moderne ranch-stil hus. To store beskyttede terrasser med smedejerns udendørs bord og seks stole til at nyde udsigten. Den åbne boligareal er 1500 kvadratmeter og inkluderer stue, spisestue, fuldt udstyret køkken og kontorlokaler. Elektrisk hjem med gulvvarme og vaskemaskine / tørretumbler.

Dette er et perfekt hjem for par, pensionister og eventyrere. Hvis du ønsker at komme væk fra det hele, er dette et godt sted for dig. Du vil finde klare himmel, lyse stjerner, frisk luft og en masse af de stille naturlyde.

Der er to enkeltsenge i et lille soveværelse, der ville være behageligt for små børn til voksne, og en futon i stuen vil sove to personer. Futon er i et åbent område, og da det kun er i fuld størrelse, er det mere behageligt for en person. Der er ingen trapper, så dette er et dejligt hus for dem, der har brug for en stok eller en rullator.

Den 35 hektar store ejendom er en blanding af fyrretræer i Aspen og Ponderosa, med huset placeret på en 5 hektar åben eng, der giver mulighed for en bred udsigt over bjergkæden i San Juan. Det er fantastisk at gå gennem træerne eller bare sidde på terrassen og nyde udsigten. Du kan nyde efterårsfarverne fra terrassen, og vilde blomster findes inden for en kort gåtur gennem skoven om foråret og sommeren. På en klar nat ser du Mælkevejen og en overflod af stjerner og satellitter fra gårdhaven. Til tider vil en række vilde dyr, herunder elg, hjorte, coyoter, chipmunks og fugle vandre ind i landskabet. Der er INGEN jagt tilladt på denne ejendom.

Bare det at gå rundt på veje i underafdelingen er smukt, men du kan cykle, gå, xc ski fra gårdhaven. Adgang til vandrestier i National Forest ligger kun en kort køretur væk. Det er cirka en 2 km gang til, hvor den første True Grit-film blev filmet. Den berømte Last Dollar Ranch ligger i nærheden, og vores hus er virkelig praktisk til mange af højdepunkterne i det sydvestlige Colorado såsom jeeping, varme kilder, Gateway Auto Museum, Mesa Verde og Gunnison's sorte Canyon for at nævne nogle få.

Huset er centralt beliggende for nem adgang til Last Dollar Road - cirka halvvejs mellem Ouray og Telluride. Let 16 km kørsel til Ridgway og en 23 mil kørsel til Telluride. Afstanden til både lufthavnen i Montrose og Telluride er cirka 40 miles.

Lovely setting

We had a wonderful trip staying here. The view from the porch and windows was absolutely stunning and made every morning special. The home was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. We made great family memories here. The host was responsive and the process from booking to check-out was smooth and simple. We would happily stay again.

Relaxing!

Want to publicly thank Sarah for letting us stay at her home. We had a great time! Had everything we needed for our stay. Nice big windows to see the nice views of sunset and bright mornings. Our little one enjoyed all that patio space! We didn't get to see any deer or elk (sad) but we still enjoyed our stay. Sarah is an amazing host!

A Lovely House in a Beautiful Setting

This was the perfect base for our hiking trip to the area. Very comfortable, well equipped and the views were amazing. Sarah was the perfect host, answering all my questions and giving me some great insight for hiking. We’re looking forward to making a return trip!

Exceeded My Expectations

The view is stellar and pictures do not do it justice. We loved the snow capped mountains during the day and the stars at night. Aside from the views the house is extremely well stocked. There wasn't a thing we wanted for from super sharp, high quality knives (so rare in VRBOs) to a bountiful spice rack. Sarah was super helpful and accommodating. The house is remote but that made it so special and we just factored a drive into our plans. We loved the peace, quiet and all the wildlife. Thanks for sharing this great home.

Perfect mountain retreat

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. It had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy the fabulous view from the back patio and from every window. We enjoyed 4 wheeling and hiking in the area but the best part was watching the aspens changing. Sarah and Don are really easy to communicate with. We look forward to staying here again!

Spectacular mountain property

Sheila and I have been looking for that place in the mountains with a beautiful view where you’re away from everyone and we found that with Sarah’s place. We spent a lot of time on the patio just relaxing while the view of the mountains would change with a beautiful sunrise, to a bright afternoon, a red glow on the mountains at sunset, and then stars at night. Deer would walk through the property daily. Given the property is at 9,000 feet we had many clear nights to enjoy the stars, a bright full moon, and the Milky Way. On top of that the whole area has incredible views when you drive down the “Last Dollar Road”. There are also many other places to experience like the ski area of Telluride, town of Ridgeway, Ouray, off-road journeys by vehicle, biking, and hiking. I took my first ever Fly Fishing class with RIGS Fly Shop & Guide Service at Ridgeway and caught a rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout. The property has all the amenities to enjoy your stay. From the start of making our reservation Sarah has been very attentive and caring to our needs. Sandy and Don met us at the property when we arrived and provided us an overview, also incredibly nice people. We will definitely be back to this amazing property for another stay.

Telluride Blues and Brews trip

We stayed at the Center property for 3 nights. The purpose of our trip was to see the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. The property was amazing. The views were fantastic! We saw deer and elk. We also enjoyed the solitude and the Milky Way amongst the millions of stars at night. Would definitely stay here again.

Top Notch

Could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house was very inviting, clean, and well appointed. We didn’t need a thing. The views….words and photos aren’t enough to describe one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. Lots of unobstructed views of prairie and mountains. Views of mule deer and elk nearly every day. Extremely enjoyable stay…didn’t want to leave.

Serene stay near Mt. Sneffle

The surroundings are beautiful and the kitchen in particular is stocked with everything you could need. We were going to a mushroom festival in Telluride and this was a great location to come back to and decompress.

The views from this place is unreal! Definitely make sure you make time to just hangout there and enjoy the view. Its so quiet too! We loved reading on the porch. The place was so clean and stocked with all we needed. The beds were comfortable too! Great wifi connection too. We definitely want to return!

Peaceful, breathtaking view, great getaway!

Sarah is an amazingly personable host! It makes a difference when you get this kind of personal care and communication. Don and Sandy greeted us when we arrived. They were so very kind. And the place was immaculate. This property is very open and roomy for its sq footage. The view from all of the south windows was breathtaking! We enjoyed watching the deer and elk come through each morning and evening. It had everything we needed and Sarah’s book provided so much information, including hand drawn maps and drawings of the beautiful wild flowers. Lots of books, guides, maps to make sure guests see and do everything they want to in this area. We hope to visit this property again for fall colors sometime soon.

Phenomenal view and wonderful stay!

Lovely home with incredible view of the mountains. We saw several animals nearby. We loved sitting on the patio. The home was very well stocked for cooking. They drive to the home is beautiful as well. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. To get to the room with twin beds, you walk through the other bedroom. Convenient location for visiting Telluride, Ridgway and Ouray. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t book it for longer. We would love to return!!

Wonderful retreat

This property is the perfect place to get away, relax, and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. We love sitting on the porch, feeling the breeze, and enjoying the beautiful landscape. It is fun to walk around the property among the aspen trees too. The kitchen. bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry areas have everything you need for your stay. This is our second visit and we hope to return again.

Away from it all

We spent a week here reconnecting with nature. Amazing place for solitude and peace. Don was a treat and a welcoming face when we arrived. The home had everything we needed and we left refreshed and ready to jump back in. Thanks to the Center family for sharing this space with us. We are so lucky to have found them.

Amazing Views!

This property did not disappoint. It was a perfect location for my husband and I. It was so peaceful and beautiful to sit on the patio and drink our morning coffee. Sarah makes booking and checking in easy. Don and Sandy made sure we had everything we needed! I cannot wait to come back!

Amazing Fall Getaway

This place is amazing, the pictures don’t do it justice. We were so amazed to have a view of the fall colors along the Dallas Divide all to ourselves. We felt that the house itself was roomier than the pictures on the listing showed. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. We would happily come stay here again!

While visiting for one of the festivals, we wandered through many pieces of property looking for just the right view with a local realtor. As we were leaving the area, we stopped to let the realtor know to call if anything came up on Last Dollar Road. Amazingly something had just come in that morning. When we walked through the woods on this property and saw this natural opening with this magical view we knew we had found our retirement property.
We built small cabin in 1993, and the house in 2004. I love being able to share the beauty of this view with other people.

There are 35 acres to walk around in. The open area where the house is located allows for a wonderful view. The neighbors say we have the best view in the area because of the artistic framing of the trees all around the building, and the wide view to the south. Honestly, we just fell in love. Almost everyone gets to see wildlife while they are visiting, which is always a treat.

One level house is great for couples and retirees (also great for people with disabilities that use a cane, or a walker). It is an open plan and you can see the mountains from large windows in each room. The master bedroom has a king sized bed. Additionally there are two twin beds in the back room. The property is located centrally to the four towns in the area: Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride and Montrose. Each of these towns has their own charm and attractions.
