Portzvue Two bedroom Apartment (Quarantine Approval Status)

Portzvue is situated on Barbados' west coast, an area which is often referred to as fashionable, cultured, and alive. The property overlooks the turquoise waters of Port St Charles Marina. It is fully furnished throughout and comprises of 2 bedrooms all with air conditioning and each with en-suite. The lounge/kitchen area it is also open-planned with a patio, which allows you to take in the spectacular views across the west coast.

All linen including bath and beach towels are provided, towels are provided. Housekeeper/Cooking available on request (additional cost).

The 30' x 21' living room is equipped with Cable TV, DVD Player, & a Stereo Hi-Fi with I-Pod Dock . The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, wine cooler, coffee maker and all the usual cooking utensils. The laundry room has an automatic washing machine and tumble dryer both of which are available for your use when required. Beyond the rear patio area is a 35' x 16' swimming pool, which is 8ft at its deepest, and has decking all around to provide plenty of sunbathing areas.

Speightstown Area
15 minute walk to Speightstown, 10 mins beaches, Six Men’s etc. 5 minute to main highway for buses, taxis etc. Quiet residential area. Apartment ground floor, adequate space for 4 adults. Limited outdoor space, but owner plans to improve and increase this. Larger apartment above has exclusive use of pool. However, use can be negotiated if those renting above are willing to permit it. Access to pool permitted if above apartment is unoccupied. Would recommend this apartment for short stays. For longer stays, you would probably need a car, for exploring further inland, the west and south coasts, and big shopping trips.

Slightly cheaper option in very authentic town
This is a half-basement apartment and there is no window in the second bedroom (though it can get some light through the en suite bathroom) and none of the character you can get in larger houses. This, however, is reflected in the cheaper pricing. The pool was great and on our first day we were lucky enough to see some green monkeys playing on and just over the garden wall. The directions from the airport were quite hard to follow but Sonia (property manager) was very helpful and responsive. The apartment was well-stocked with soap and toilet roll which lasted our whole 8 days stay. It's a bit too far to walk into Speightstown unless you like a bit of a hike but it was a very quick drive to the amenities. A number of the 'attractions' we visited were in the north of the island making this a great base for a short holiday.
