This is a beautiful property and we loved every minute of our stay. Perfectly clean and the little touches made our stay very comfortable. Mark was very helpful with any questions we had and I would definitely recommend Wonky’s Wheels Taxi service for anyone that needs it. Thanks Mark, a lovely stay and property :)
We had a great two days in Stroud, the house is in a great location for town centre access and has everything you need. It’s very comfortable , and we all slept very well.
My friends and I have been looking for a mid way meet between central England and Wales. Thankfully we came across this house, and were from disappointed. The photos do not do the property justice, its such a spacious and beautiful house. Very nicely decorated and one of the cleanest places I have ever rented. We just wanted to chat and catch up so for having a girly night in front of the tv this house was perfect. Location to the town was a short walk, and Tesco a 5 minute walk. Mark was very quick to reply to messages too. We had a lovely weekend, and hope to be back! Thank you.
Overall this was a great house. for our stay All very clean and functional and was exactly what we were after. Location is on a fairly busy road, but good parking around the back as well as a lovely long garden and not too far from the centre of Stroud.
This is a lovely property, clean, warm, well presented. Comfortable beds, lovely bathroom, great modern decor, well equipped kitchen.
The location is easy for walking into town, and parking for 2 cars round the back.
We had a lovely stay and would love to come back and would definitely recommend to friends and family. It was nice to have 6 single beds as we were all friends staying.
The only minor downside is that the depth of the stairs are quite narrow so if someone was elderly and not good on their feet they might find these tricky but there is a sofa bed downstairs so anyone who wasn't good on stairs could sleep down there.
If you're looking to stay locally I would be surprised if you could find anywhere nicer for the money.
We went to Gloucester on the way home which was lovely and not far at all from this property.
Thank you to the owners for a really lovely night away.
The house was lovely, just what our family of seven needed. We were visiting the area where my husband used to live and went to school (just behind the garden fence). Communications with homeaway were appalling as they had recorded our email address incorrectly Eventually this was rectified and we were then able to communicate well with the owner.
My friends and I had a lovely stay in this home. The house is very spacious and welcoming, all the common spaces were very cosy - a great place to spend time together.
Booked this property for a family weekend. Really charming property with the facilities we needed for some quality family time. Owner rectified the issue of downstairs bed not being made up for my parents very quickly and allowed us to remain for an extra hour on the sunday to ease our check out. Only slight issue was the light from the security sensor was quite bright in one of the bedrooms
Really enjoyed our stay - large kitchen was perfect for cooking, and the garden was lovely in warm weather. Close to the canal and a 10-15 minute walk into town - all in all a great option for a weekend in Stroud. Would recommend.
The house is ideally situated not far from the M5 and the 15-20 minute walk into Stroud centre for the fabulous Saturday market was straightforward. Lovely walks easily accessible by car. As a group meeting up from across the country, having parking around the back for 3 cars was a real bonus.

Born and bred in Stroud, we live five minutes from the house with our three young children. We have a love of the great outdoors, dogs, Land Rovers and ferrets!

Why they chose this property
We bought this house as our family home and moved out in 2008. For the last ten years it has been rented to a local family who like us fostered young children. We have fully refurbished the house to a high standard and are now running it as successful short stay accommodation. It is suitable for those visiting the area for work or leisure and is equally suited to contractors as holiday makers. Please be aware that the stairs to the first floor are slightly narrower and steeper than more modern staircases.
What makes this property unique
Full of 1920's charm with a modern warm feel. A lovely family home that will make guests feel at home.
