The living area is bright and spacious, perfect for gathering around a board game in the evening, having a movie night together, or sharing in an indulgent home cooked meal after a day of exploring. You are in a peaceful elevated position above the ever popular coastal town of Whitby, with the most incredible views where you can take in the sights all around you. You’ll feel on top of the world, watching the waves, boats and scenery down below.
Just a stone’s throw away you have the swing bridge leading to the cobbled old town. Brimming with quirky independent shops, an abundance of cafés and restaurants and a great choice of pubs and gin bars. The 199 steps lead up to the cliff top where St Mary’s Church overlooks the town, next to the Gothic ruins of Whitby Abbey. In the harbour there is the HMS Endeavour, a replica of Captain Cook’s ship which was built and sailed from Whitby on his voyages of discovery. The ship is now a floating restaurant with a Captain Cook exhibition, a great spot for discovering more about the history of this seafaring town. Join a ghost walk through the town, visit the museums, you can even see a shipwreck at low tide at Saltwick Bay or look up into the cliffs to spot the smugglers tunnels, the clues to the towns colourful past are all around you.

Nearby you also have the rowing boats, kayaks, miniature railway and indoor play area in Ruswarp. The waterpark, sea life centre and castle in Scarborough. Zip lining, Segways and cycle tracks in Dalby Forest. Plus the Flamingo Land theme park and zoo. For walkers and those who love to take in the scenery you have many scenic coastal villages along the Cleveland Way to visit, with golden sandy beaches, hidden coves and friendly little cafes and pubs – perfect for treating yourself after a day of exploration. Extremely noisy
The greatest problem is that the is a large plastic skylight dome which, constantly, had seagulls walking on it. This sounded like someone knocking at the door. It went on all day and started at 4.30 in the morning. We left early as we could stand it no longer.
