Property description

Ground floor

Kitchen/dining room
The well-equipped spacious kitchen is illuminated by three arched windows with views of the surrounding countryside. Recent refurbishment has created a large homely kitchen area with a granite worktop and Rayburn cooker adding to the cosy, welcoming feel as well as the inclusion of modern facilities that do not compromise the properties character, including an induction hob, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, freezer, American style fridge, and washing machine. A large dining table with eight dining chairs provides spacious seating for everyone to enjoy a very sociable atmosphere.

Lounge
The panelled lounge has three comfortable fabric sofas: two three-seaters and a two-seater. There is a large pine coffee table and a small pine side table which complement the natural pine flooring. A log burner is set in an attractive period fire surround. The windows offer fine views of the beach and sea. There is a 32in TV - and plenty of books and DVDs can be found on the shelves. This impressive room is a great place to relax and enjoy the sea views and magical evening sunsets.

Reading room
The small reading room next to the lounge is the perfect spot in the cottage to sit down and relax. The small sitting area has a table, two chairs and a variety of books on the book shelf, perfect for a quiet moment, enjoying a glass of wine and your favourite book.

Downstairs

Bedroom 1
This ground floor bedroom enjoys lovely views over the garden and contains a king size double bed, a pedestal sink unit, a chest of drawers and a bed side table.

Bedroom 2
This spacious ground floor twin bedroom contains two single beds

Bathroom
The downstairs bathroom contains a bath with a shower over the bath, a wash basin, drawer unit and toilet. There are attractive views of the surrounding countryside through the large windows which can be screened by shutters. Towels are provided. However please bring your own beach towels.

Shower room
A shower room is situated between bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 on the ground floor, and contains an enclosed walk-in shower, toilet and hand basin.

Wet room
There is a fully tiled wet room with shower opposite the downstairs bathroom and adjacent to the kitchen, perfect to rinse out the sandy toes after the day spent at the Cable beach.

First floor
PLEASE NOTE: access to the first floor bedrooms is via steep stairs, which may present some difficulties in climbing, for some people. The double bedroom is accessed through the twin bedroom in the Crog Loft. These first floor rooms are recommended only for agile adults and older children under adult supervision, given the steepness of the access stairs.

Bedroom 3
There is a king size double bed and two bedside table

Bedroom 4
There are two single beds and a chest of drawers. This twin room is connected to the double room. The dormer windows give both bedrooms a light and airy feel.

Entertainment
There is a 32 inch LCD TV, DVD player with a selection of DVD's and Freesat in the lounge. A selection of books can be found in the reading room. Mobile phone signal at Cable Cottage cannot be guaranteed.

Outside
There is plenty of off road parking in the private parking area close to the house. There is a lovely large sheltered garden with outdoor table and seating and at the front of the house is a grassed patio area with stunning views over the beach and out to sea.

Things to do / Places to Visit nearby

Church Bay beach - A characterful pebble beach on the island of Anglesey, in North Wales. The beach is named after the nearby Llanrhuddlad Church. Swimming, sailing, fishing and surfing are popular activities. Highly recommended seafood restaurant, The Lobster Pot - well worth a visit!

Llyn Alaw - Enjoy a stroll along this large Anglesey reservoir. It covers 770 acres and has a number of walking trails along the water. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a destination for over-wintering birds. There are also wildflowers, butterflies and bird hides where you can look out for the variety of birds that visit the lake.

Melin Llynnon Mill - Melin Llynnon, or Llynnon Mill, is a windmill located on the outskirts of the village of Llanddeusant on the island of Anglesey. It is the only surviving working windmill in Wales. Lovely homemade food in the cafe.

Fabulous stay at Cable Cottage
We loved our stay at Cable Cottage, the location was wonderful, right on a very quiet beach and the Anglesey coastal path. We were at the cottage during storm Debi and enjoyed watching the large breaking waves from the lounge window in the quiet and warmth of the cottage. All the facilities at the cottage superb, and we loved being there, we meant to eat out some nights but decided to cook in the great kitchen and spend our time enjoying the cottage. Would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone. Thanks for letting us share it.

8/10 Good

Pretty little cottage in an ideal location
Fantastic Location, literally yards from its own pebble beach, with the Anglesey coastal path passing through the front . Well marked coastal path trails of in both directions , one way to the Church Bay beach, Lobster Pot restaurant and delightful Wavecrest Cafe. The other takes a twisty route along the coast to other wonderful beachs and onward to Holyhead with excellent views of beautiful Anglesey seascapes and countryside Had a small problem with the TV during our visit, which was very promptly resolved by the agents with no inconvenience to our stay at all and good communication all round If I'm honest the cottage could do with a bit of updating, and a thorough deep clean, but overall very enjoyable

A week away with family
This is our 5 th stay at Cable and we had a lovely relaxing week. We had a a couple of problems which were sorted swifly. A few others have already stated that the out door area needs new and more furniture. Only enough to sit 5 which is a bit strange as it sleeps 8. Always well equipped in the kitchen.
