About this property

2 BEDROOM LUXURY APARTMENT BY THE SEA IN AMAZING SAVELLETRI -THE BEST IN PUGLIA

Modern, luxurious 2 bedroom apartment 30 meters from the sea with amazing views, recently renovated for comfortable holiday in style in fashionable and popular Savelletri, the top spot on the Apulian riviera. Accommodation comprises 2 double bedrooms, modern bathroom, open plan kitchen, living room, balcony. Access to large roof terrace. All modern facilities like TV, WIFI, A/C and heating. Quiet area with 5 minutes walk into the charming seaside street with excellent range of restaurants.

LOCATION:
. The apartment is at the northern, quiet end of Savelletri with its nice range of quality restaurants, cafes and bars and there are small groceries, butchers and fruit stands. Savelletri has a population of approximately 1 000 during summer time and 200 wintertime, means it is open the whole year.

The main town Fasano, with 20 000 inhabitants, in reached by car in 10 minutes and has an excellent supply for all shopping needs and here you find pharmacies, banks, cafes, bars and there are half a dozen of butchers, fishmongers and more than 15 small fruit & vegetable shops, including mini markets in many corners.
Closer at 5 minutes by car is the shopping centre Conforama with 30 stores including a large food supermarket.

Capitolo with its many famous beach clubs on sandy beaches is 5 km away to the north on the beautiful coastal road and Tore Canne with a large supply of hotels and restaurants is 7 km to the south.
The apartment has also the advantage of being centrally located between areas of interest such as the mile long caves of Castellana; the archaeological excavations of the Roman Egnatia by the Adriatic coast line ( 5 minutes by car); the Trulli houses of Alberobello- an UNESCO World heritage site: the beautiful white town of Ostuni, located on top of a hill with fantastic sea views; the medieval town of Oria; the wealthy baroque town of Martina Franca; the petite and charming Cisternino, the Zoo Safari Park of Fasano (lots of fun for children and adults alike); the caves of Polignano a Mare, well known also for its tasty ice-cream; Grottaglie famous for its ceramics and old stone carvings; and the famous baroque city of Lecce which is called the Florence of the south. To world famous Matera, also an UNESCO world heritage site, the town with the cliff caves and the site for many film-makings, it is about 1 hour 30 minutes.

By air there is a choice of two international airports, served by Ryanair, Easyjet , BA and others, both easily reached within 50 minutes; Bari in the north and Brindisi in the south. Both cities have ferry traffic to Greece, Albania and Croatia so it's possible to make weekend trips across the Adriatic Sea.

Bari being the commercial capital city with 250 000 inhabitants' offers the best shopping, a grand opera house, called the Petruzzelli teatro; a large medical city centre with many museums. Just north of Bari lies a little town called Giovinazzo a true gem, right by the sea. Further north is Molfetta Outlet, a famous shopping galleria and 20 minutes further is Traini, a sophisticated town with a beautiful half moon bay & marina. Continue north to Castel del Monte, which is the mystical castle built by Frederic II in the 14th Century.
Within a 2,5 hour drive to the north lies Gargano, the peninsula called the spur of the Italian boot. Gargano forms a large nature and wildlife Reserve and offers hiking and scenic trips around the peninsula. From here there are daily boat trips to the small Tremiti islands.

LIFESTYLE AND CULTURE:
The Italian lifestyle means many things but especially socializing; the home is used for sleeping and breakfasts, the Italians go out for enjoyments and dining. Based in Canale di Pirro there are so much you can experience, like early morning markets in the small towns. music festivals, religious carnivals, the beach life, historical tours in the main towns, cooking classes, learning a bit Italian at language schools, dining at the many country and sea side restaurants, night clubbing at the beach clubs of Capitolo.

SPORTS:
As Apulia is a peninsula and surrounded by the two seas- the Adriatic in the north and the Ionic in the south - water sports dominate in the area; sailing, yachting, water skiing, kitesurfing swimming & beach life. Golf is available with five good courses and San Domenico is world class ( PGA 2014 Challenge Final) and the course can bee seen from the apartment; Tennis (there is one tennis club just 5 minutes away), horseback riding, hiking and bicycle tours are other options for the active minded. Squash clubs are located in Bari, Bitonto and other places.

THE WEATHER:
Being south, Apulia has warmer weather than Northern Italy and even in the "winter months" of December to February the average number of sun hours per day is 4 and in June-August 10-11 sun hours per day! This means you can enjoy a long season of nice weather in Apulia. When you plan to buy a holiday home in Apulia think of that you will spend a lot more time outside than in the inside compared to at home. Therefore you will need plenty of terrace space, pergolas etc. at your Apulian property and also cooking facilities outside is very practical.

The water temperature in beginning of May is in average 19 degrees, up to 27 degrees in August/September and 19 degrees in November. This means you & family will spend time at the beach. Wherever you are in Apulia you can reach the beaches within 30 minutes!

Pictures and words do this amazing stay no justice
This apt was perfect for an extended weekend stay or longer and had all the amenities a traveler would require. It is located i. a quaint town in a perfect location with views of the Adriatic sea. You can walk into town Savelletri or Drive to nearby towns up and down the coast line. Sir Johan is an amazing host and very responsive. The apt is clean and the pictures do it no justice. Johan has thought of everything . It is clean and secure and definitely felt like a vacation home away from home. Bed was comfortable and shower was too. Thanks again for a great stay.

Perfect home away from home
We had such a wonderful stay. The property is next to the sea which is steps away and has all the amenities you would want to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Savelletri is a a great home base for many day trips to explore Puglia. The town is a short walk away with its charming restaurants. The closest beach club is a short drive is is amazing as well. You can’t go wrong by staying here. And Johan, the host, is so responsive and accommodating!
