About this property

Pink End, North Creake, Norfolk

A smart and immaculately presented character cottage which, as the name suggests, stands at the end of a terrace and has a distinctive pink gable end wall! Set in a peaceful village location, only a fifteen minute drive away from North Norfolk's glorious coastline, Pink End has been extended to provide deceptively spacious and very comfortable accommodation.

Tastefully styled, and with understated decor, the cottage interior is very easy-on-the-eye providing a calm and relaxing environment for guests to enjoy. You have a choice of two sitting areas; a traditionally cosy sitting room, possibly more suited to shorter days and cool nights when you have the option to light the wood burning stove to keep you extra snug, and a light-filled garden room/dining room overlooking a surprisingly spacious private and sunny garden, ideal for when the days are long and nights warm. In between the two rooms is a fully-fitted and very well-equipped kitchen, which has everything you could possibly need for your stay, especially if you enjoy cooking. Off the entrance hall is a shower room/cloakroom. The two attractive and invitingly restful bedrooms (king-size and twin), and second bathroom (en-suite to the king) are found on the first floor. True to the age of the cottage, the stairs are narrow and rather steep, but thankfully without a Norfolk twist, and with a handrail!

This pretty cottage is ideal for a couple or small family to enjoy around the year. Located in the village of North Creake, just three miles inland from the ever popular village of Burnham Market and only six miles from Holkham's stunning beach and its Palladian stately home set in a beautiful deer park. North Creake is home to Creake Abbey which is just down the road and can be reached on foot across the fields. Well known for it's popular award-winning monthly farmer's market, as well as a food hall selling local produce, a cafe that's open during the day and evening, a country ware shop, a lifestyle store, a hairdressers and a gallery! If you feel like venturing out for your evening meal, take a leisurely stroll down to The Jolly Farmers' pub or a short drive away you can sample one of the pubs, restaurants and bistros in Burnham Market. For a different experience, book a tour, tasting or a secret supper at nearby Burn Valley Vineyard, who can also provide tasty outside catering for a special treat.

Additional Information:
Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
Children are welcome - the cottage has a fixed stair gate, and a travel cot and high chair are available on request.
The steep stairs may not suit anyone with limited mobility, and toddlers will need to be supervised.
Duvets and pillows are synthetic.

lovely comfortable house
Our party of three had a very happy visit to Norfolk. We are all birdwatchers and the coastal sites were all an easy distance from the property.. It could only have been bettered by a sea view.

Comfortable and well equipped
We (three adults plus one corgi) hugely enjoyed our stay ... in spite of the terrible weather. The garden and garden room were a huge plus under the grey skies and occasional downpour. Very well equipped and large kitchen, more than able to cope with adventurous (!?!) cooking. Comfortable chairs and sofas in the sitting/TV room (we didn't use the log burner but good to know that it and logs were there) and, thankfully, firm beds. Good to have off-road parking and reassuring to find the the whole outside was dog-escape-proof. North Creake is a very pleasant village with endless local walks. Also close (by car) to the amazing north Norfolk beaches and marshes (and Holkham Hall)- superb walks even in the moody weather. You do need to plan your shopping a tad - 'normal' shops are a bit thin on the ground in the district and unless you have ready access to a second mortgage, Burnham Market's delis etc can take unfeasibly large bites out of your wallet. Oh ... and a fair number of tradespeople and venues, including the local pub, don't open on Mondays or Tuesdays. We ended our week better disposed to the world than we began it - so that has to be a win.
