About this property

The Padstow Cottage - Coswarth House

A stunning one bedroom boutique cottage close to the harbour with breakfast served at Rick Stein's.

Previously marketed as part of Coswarth House but now with its own individual listing.

The Cottage has benefited from a £100k refit and has been finished to an exceptionally high standard. There is a hand made oak, glass and stainless steel staircase and a wonderful kitchen and dining area. The kitchen benefits from a range cooker with an induction hob and a variety of designer appliances. There is also an AEG washer dryer in the utility area. The bedroom benefits from a vaulted ceiling with remote controlled Velux windows and blinds.

It also has a beautiful 4-posted bed and designer lighting. The bedroom floor is made from 12 inch shipboards and there are views across the Camel Estuary. The bathroom has a roll-top bath and a dual shower with separately controlled shower heads. The brief to the builders was to produce 'the best one -bedroom cottage in Padstow'.
The property was the subject if a £100k+ refurbishment and has been designed to provide the utmost in luxury while still preserving the features that make it a wonderful cottage.

There are 2 floors - the upstairs has the 4--poster bed and an open roof void that provided lovely views of the night sky.

The downstairs is an open plan kitchen diner / lounge with a range cooker in the kitchen area and a bespoke double sofa bed in the lounge area. The areas are separated by a granite breakfast bar.

The front door is a stable door and with the top half open, guests can enjoy views across the Camel estuary while seated at the breakfast bar.

The bathroom has been designed with romance in mind so there is a double shower for couples as well as a roll-top bath.

The property is 100% open-plan with only one internal door which separates the bathroom from the main living areas.

It is not suitable for more than 2 people if there is a desire for privacy. It can accommodate a couple,2 singles or a couple with a child over the age of 12.

Due to the nature of the building and staircase etc it is not suitable for small children,

If guests book the option 'with breakfast' they can take breakfast as Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant from May through to September.

At other times they can take breakfast at Rick Stein's Cafe. Both are within a very short walk of the cottage.

The cottage has a stone floor downstairs and a wooden floor on the first floor. One small dog is allowed (at extrra cost). We provide throws to protect the furniture and respectfully ask that guests use these during their stay. Dogs are not permitted on the upper floor.

Lovely cottage in the heart of Padstow.
We wanted to mark a special birthday with a little bit of luxury and The Padstow Cottage did not disappoint. It was very clean, well laid out and provided the luxury we were looking for. Ideally located, it is a few minutes’ walk away from the harbour and just 10 minutes walk from the lovely sandy beach along the estuary and the SW coastal path. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Padstow, catering for all tastes and budgets. It was a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

The location of the cottage was perfect with easy access to Padstow. Mark was the perfect host with brilliant communication and you couldn’t ask for anything else in the cottage, very comfortable, very clean. Having breakfast at Rick Steins restaurant was outstanding, so much to choose from. 100% recommend The Cottage.
