A recently renovated apartment on the ground floor of a villa in the city of Catania. The apartment has a bedroom with en-suite shower, a living room with open kitchen, sofa, a double bed (140 cm) and a separate toilet. Outside: a big shaded terrace. On the upper floor lives the pensioned owner, a Sicilian 'mamma'. On request, she is happy to prepare a typical Sicilian lunch (pasta, vegetables, second dish) and you will eat better than in any kind of restaurant in the area.
The house is 1 km to the beautiful old centre of Catania and 30 meters to Viale Mario Rapisardi, one of the main roads of Catania that leads to Corso Italia, an avenue with luxury clothing shops. Instead, Viale Mario Rapisardi, is a street where people from the province with cute vespacars come to sell there fresh picked fruits and also fishermen just sell right on the street what they just caught. The area is not picturesque from an urban point of view, but very folkloristic and 'real'.
Perfect for a short, cheap stay if you arrive late at Catania Airport and you want to move on the next day, but also if you stay a few days to visit Catania, Etna and its surroundings.
PLEASE NOTE: On the upper floor lives also a dog that is happy to be cuddled by the guests who want to. But just let us know before or during your stay if you prefer the dog not to approach.
