Beautiful Lodge
Excellent lodge, beautifully presented. Facilities in restaurant were very good. Food was very good. Small bar area inside but great outside space. Dogs allowed in bar and restaurant which was great for us. Both bar and restaurant reasonably priced. We had dog with us, no walks directly from site, but lots of local walks a short drive away. We were four adults with two dogs and we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect getaway
We had a thoroughly enjoyable three night stay here. The lodge is well equipped with everything you could need. It’s very well decorated with some lovely finishing touches. The beds and sofas were all very comfortable. My only complaint would be that the throws and cushion covers on the sofas could have done with a wash as they were covered in dog hairs. We would definitely look to stay here again in the summer, and hopefully the weather will be in our favour.

Simply an excellent place to stay
Great accomodation, spotlessly clean, comfortable, warm, very well equipt and spacious. Great privacy and the hot tub was a real bonus. The staff were welcoming, efficient and very polite nothing was too much trouble. Would have loved to be able to have stayed longer.

Amazing weekend
It is exactly as seen in the pictures. As arriving, we were ready to find something wrong, like the cabin being too small or having to share the deck with the next cabin, the cabin being too cold because of all the windows, but no, it was amazing. Everything was set and ready for us, the cabin was beautifull and warm and even the private jacuzzi was ready to bubble. We arrived very late but the staff was very helpful and warm. Thank so much to the young lady who welcomed us we were so tired I didn't ask her name. We will surely come back!

6/10 Okay

Nice secluded lodge
Lodge 6, East Down lodge is a lovely secluded lodge with a jacuzzi overlooking a pond with fountain. You are only overlooked by one other lodge. In our opinion the lodges are in need of some maintenance. The fire didn't work, the blinds are broken and do not pull right across for privacy,, the Jacuzzi was cold but was repaired the next day, there was damage to the internal doors which could be dangerous. The kitchen could be better equipped with another baking tray (there was only 1), an oven glove was needed and it would help if there was kitchen roll, tin foil and cling film. Could also do with a mop to wipe the floor when coming in from the Jacuzzi as it gets wet and slippery. Cleaning could be better. There were many dirty hand prints on the main windows that look out to the pond, cobwebs around the lower kitchen window and mould around bottom of shower. We would recommend this lodge if some of these minor issues were resolved.
