About this property

This bespoke hut is situated on the edge of the marsh with uninterrupted views out to the sea.

Everything in and around Saltmarsh Shepherds Hut oozes luxury; with the wood-fired hot tub, en-suite shower room and king-size bed with Egyptian cotton bedding. Uninterrupted views over the North Norfolk coast and total privacy make this a very special place to unwind.

Saltmarsh Hut is set in a breathtaking location, at the end of a field with panoramic views over the marshes and to the sea in Stiffkey, North Norfolk. The bespoke hut has been designed and built to a very high standard, with an open-plan living space and en-suite shower room. Built with comfort and luxury in mind, there is a king-size bed with a duck feather duvet and Egyptian cotton linen and a wall mounted television just above. The kitchenette has a sink, double electric hob and a mini fridge along with all the crockery, pots, pans and utensils you need. Even though there is underfloor heating, there is also an electric stove, adding to the cosiness and also kicking out some heat for the chillier evenings! The en-suite shower room is through a door at the end of the hut and has a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. Saltmarsh Hut also has the benefit of WiFi.

Outside the hut is a lawned area and a fabulous wood-fired hot tub which looks out over the sea, a perfect relaxation spot after a long day exploring the North Norfolk Coast (please see additional information below). There is also a table and chairs for you to enjoy dining alfresco, along with an iron fire bowl which can be used as a barbecue. There is direct access to Stiffkey Salt marshes and the coastal path from Saltmarsh Hut.

Please note we are happy to accept two well behaved dogs, as long as they do not go on the furniture.

A unique getaway
We enjoyed a fantastic 2-night stay in this unique, out of the way setting. The hut was really cosy and had everything we needed. Beautifully decorated and well-equipped. A perfect base from which to explore the North Norfolk coastline. Would highly recommend.

Was Lovely but needed a bit of TLC
Location was perfect. Lay out of the hut was brilliant. Was nice to have a Indoor and outside table and sun loungers. Was a bit tricky to find, pics where included in the check in guide but they are in the dark and poor quality and only give directions to those coming from the other direction. So we only found it once we had drove past and realised we where in wells next to sea prompting us to turn around, then we where coming from the direction they had catered for in their instructions. We stayed at the end of August so I'm assuming its been a busy summer and the owners haven't had time to fix the following: Toilet roll holder Toilet flusher -worked but was broken BBQ utensils Front window- would only shut if someone pushed it from the outside The main door is a stable style- was lovely but the bolt for the bottom half was broken so difficult to use. Door hinge was loose- my husband fixed this one for you. The steps to get into the hot tub- just seem to have seen better days have to be careful using them. There was an information folder that was really handy but again has seen better days. But it served its purpose. For the price of the hut i had expected these little things to be attended to. I understand an additional cost for the hottub as it needs to be re filled and logs provided but thought the price was a bit steep of £75. Overall we had a great time and these little things didn't spoil the trip but they need attending to. Communication with the owner- i text to say our arrival time but didn't hear back again no issue but there was no communication from the owner hence my 2 star review. This trip was our mini moon and i had specified this on the booking. Was happy to pay for any extra treats. There was a bottle of wine for us in the fridge but unsure if that was special for us or if they do this for every visitor, either way it was a lovely gesture. I honestly would recommend the hut to a friend but also If they asked if it was worth the money i would unfortunately say no based on our stay. So overall its lovely place to stay with great potential if its given a little TLC and maybe the hot tup price was brought down to a more realistic price for what it actually costs to run.
