About the neighborhood.
The location is SW of Rome, halfway on the City-Airport (Fiumicino) route, it is a quiet, green residential area, even if the apartment is located 5 minutes (on foot) from Via del Trullo, a main street where you can find small shops, a nice typical local market with everything you need (food, butchers, fishfood and more), a discount supermarket, a 'normal' supermarket and (take a bus), a small shopping center . If you want a large shopping center you will have to take the city train, but I doubt that this will be interesting for you ... :-)

How to move in Rome from Via Tempio di Dia?
Even if it doesn't reach almost every little corner of the city, surface transport in Rome is very complex and, at times, it could be a bit slow, so it is advisable to use the buses to get to the nearest subway (subway) or the train station. of the city train. Of course if there is no one nearby, buses are still a good option, although a longer journey should be considered.
Rome offers integrated solutions for transport tickets, so when you buy a ticket you can also use it for the subway or city train, and these are some options:

• BTI - INTEGRATED TOURIST ticket (€ 16.50) - valid for 3 days from the first unlimited travel validation

Where can I use these tickets?

- On buses, trams, trolley buses and Cotral buses
- On the underground lines A and B
- On regional Met trains. Ro: Rome-Lido, Viterbo, Pantano

Real "HomeAway" ... Real Italian Feeling.
Stayed 9 people (5 adults – 4 children) in Cheap&Chic for N.Y. Holiday of 2016 (27th Dec–4th Jan). Having decided for an apartment, was important: - Multiple rooms - At least two WC.. avoid morning crowds - Good heating … freezing is no holiday - Safe location - Cost - Quiet - Good & Free wifi Arranging for so many people, was anxious to have everything secure and well organized. My nightmare was arriving late in Rome and have no place to stay because the owner made double booking or did not show up or have been victim of internet fraud. The Cheap&Chic (although I do not like this name) met most of our requirements and the honesty of the description & subsequent contact with the owner made me feel “SAFE”. Checked everything, walked the Tempio di Dia via Google Street view, saw the house from every corner, investigated the neighborhood etc etc. Even after booking, Pietro was always there to help with any concern. I was never so much relaxed on a trip abroad as on this case. On first view, the house was a pleasant surprise (as one said “much better than pictures”).. - heating was very fast and good (the building is populated as such not cold), - lots of space for all of us, very cozy living room that we enjoyed very much lazing around. - COMPLETE, the house is a “Real Homeaway”. You get impression as the last tenants escaped to a new life living all behind. Also funny and relaxing finding notes everywhere … even how not being locked out the door. - KITCHEN … originally thought as useless but very handy after the first restaurant bills. Such a crowd could not be fed well in any other way. - not to forget welcoming decorations and amenities waiting us on first opening the door. - Area was typical Italian workers living, everything was there (cappuccino@1.10€ seated), no strange faces, never felt risking coming back with last bus. Next to woods area away from noise very near to multiple transport and near to city (walkable). On the negatives were: - Took some training to adjust the hot water while douching. - Some furnishings are basic and aged but is overcome by the completeness and functionality as described, good and comfortable beds and couches all very clean warm and tidy. Fully recommended for groups of 4 or over, families etc, or alternate travel i.e. Rome living like Italians. No air-condition but suppose due to open woods area, windows and balconies all around and nice patio in front would be OK for Summer.
