This property is ideal for couples and families who like to be near to shops, pubs, restaurants and are looking for plenty of things to do locally. With a stay at Fairfield Cottage, you’re never far from the action.
With a delightful living room with a range of easy seating, TV with FreeSat and gas fireplace. Through to a modern kitchen with dining table for six. The cosy wood burning stove provides a lovely backdrop and plenty of warmth after a day of adventure. On the first floor you’ll find a good sized bedroom with a kingsize bed, quality furnishings, and views to the front. The contemporary bathroom is an excellent size and offers a freestanding bath, perfect for soaking those aching muscles after walking on the fells, a large separate shower cubicle and heated towel rail. The second floor houses the second and third bedrooms, one with a comfortable king size bed, the other has full size twin beds. At the rear, you’ll find a delightful, multi-level garden, with several steps to a raised patio and seating area. It’s ideal for soaking up the afternoon sun and enjoying a glass of wine or a well-earned beer! This property feels very homely from the moment you arrive but there’s so much to explore on your doorstep.
Just a short walk downhill brings you to Ambleside with an abundance of bars, pubs, restaurants, cinema, tennis, bowls, pitch and put, crazy golf and cycle hire. Lake Windermere is handy for cruises and boat hire, whilst there are many walks to be enjoyed from the door in the surrounding hills and valleys. As a gateway to the stunning Langdale Valley, Ambleside is a magnet for visitors seeking a relaxing break or outdoor enthusiasts looking for a challenge. With water sports, walking, climbing, and cycling routes nearby there is always plenty to keep you busy and Fairfield Cottage is a great place to start your adventure.

Great place
A well-presented house, in a great location close to the centre of Ambleside (though the walk back from town is very steep!). Lovely kitchen and large bathroom, and 3 decent-sized bedrooms over 2 floors, with lovely views across to the hills opposite. Ideal base for a walking weekend or longer stay in the glorious Lake District.
