La Retraite - your luxurious home away from home.

Walk through the door and immediately relax into holiday-mode, well that’s what we do!

This is our slice of the mountains and we’d love to share it with you. It’s decorated and furnished beautifully with everything brand new in December 2021.

It’s in an ideal location, directly opposite the free bus to the ski lifts which runs every 10-15 mins in the winter season. It’s a 1.25 mile flat walk to the centre of town, 1.1 mile to the Super Morzine lift and 0.75 to Le Local, the nearest restaurant for brunch, dinner or Apres!

From a communal entrance shared with our neighbours, where you can leave wet shoes, coats and helmets at the door, you then enter into the open plan living area. Here you will find the kitchen, dining table and a large (very comfy) L-shaped sofa. The space is equipped with a 50inch TV which has Netflix and a selection of DVDs for all ages.

Fully equipped for the best self-catering chef (we’ve tested it with a full Christmas dinner), sharp knives, and decent sized wine glasses and even a decanter - for the good stuff!

The main bedroom has a king sized bed, the second bedroom is a twin, but with proper sized beds. All bedrooms have electric window shutters - giving you total blackout for a great night’s sleep.

The bathroom comprises of a large shower, basin, washing machine and space for a clothes rack to dry wet ski gear if needed. The toilet is separate to this.

La Retraite also has a large outside terrace, which is mostly covered by a double height roof line. On the terrace you will find a large table and chairs and a comfy sofa - which is perfect for a morning coffee looking up to Point de Nyon, or a glass of wine in the evening. For anyone who likes to BBQ there is a brand new Webber gas BBQ.

The apartment has two allocated parking spaces and a separate cave which is perfect for storing skies, bikes or sledges.

Located in Morzine, this apartment is in the mountains and on a lake. Les Gets Ski Resort and Avoriaz Ski Resort are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda. Espace Aquatique and Aquariaz Water Park are also worth visiting. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing and snowboarding, or check out other outdoor activities such as sledding and ice skating.

Stunning apartment
We had the most wonderful week in this gorgeous apartment. The owner could not have been more helpful or responsive. It's tastefully decorated and in immaculate condition. The ski bus is very convenient, although it did stop earlier than we had realised meaning we had a few walks into town for dinner, but this would not prevent us from booking again. The kitchen is well appointed to cook full meals and the beds super comfy. Would highly recommend.

My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at La Retraite - a very comfortable and stylish apartment. Jess provided helpful information ahead of our arrival which made the check-in and check-out straightforward. Although there is the convenience of the shuttle bus outside the front door – we found our rental car ideal for making the most of the locality. The boulangerie is just a few minutes along the road and the Carrefour supermarket less than 10 minutes away. Thank you for an enjoyable visit !

A lovely well appointed and clean apartment. It has everything you need for a stay. It is easy to get into and out of town on the free ski bus. Jess is a very helpful host We had a great stay and would really recommend the apartment.

We find the location ideal for getting to the slopes as no car is needed and the bus stop is literally across the road!
