Poor. Simply put, the walls are too thin. We were in Apt 5 in a very short corridor shared by Apts 6, 7, and 8. We take it that the layout of Apt 8 has its bedroom sharing a wall with ours, and the bed, with its headboard, is opposite our own. We were there for a week and on more than one night the headboard thumped and we heard other sounds anyway. A bigger problem was the noise in the corridor one night. Guests arrived around midnight. One young man tried to access the key to his apt from our lockbox (?!). There was much chatter in the hall, coming and going, the opening and closing of the door to the rented apt, and the door being left open for lengths of time so that the music dominated the floor. We got up from 2–3 and made tea. There was no on site attendant to call, and saying something, even through a locked door, did not seem at all advisable. Readers of this review might conclude we were simply unlucky. Yes, that may be so. Noise partly caused by thin walls and echoey engineered hardwood flooring, and an anonymous experience, nonetheless take the shine off of “luxury apartment” pretty quickly. In and of itself, the apartment was fine. The makeover is recent. The assistance in getting in and with our settling-in questions was also fine. But our experience of a shared, enclosed building space, especially the one night, was not fine and we cannot recommend the location to others.
