Poor. Simply put, the walls are too thin. We were in Apt 5 in a very short corridor shared by Apts 6, 7, and 8. We take it that the layout of Apt 8 has its bedroom sharing a wall with ours, and the bed, with its headboard, is opposite our own. We were there for a week and on more than one night the headboard thumped and we heard other sounds anyway. A bigger problem was the noise in the corridor one night. Guests arrived around midnight. One young man tried to access the key to his apt from our lockbox (?!). There was much chatter in the hall, coming and going, the opening and closing of the door to the rented apt, and the door being left open for lengths of time so that the music dominated the floor. We got up from 2–3 and made tea. There was no on site attendant to call, and saying something, even through a locked door, did not seem at all advisable. Readers of this review might conclude we were simply unlucky. Yes, that may be so. Noise partly caused by thin walls and echoey engineered hardwood flooring, and an anonymous experience, nonetheless take the shine off of “luxury apartment” pretty quickly. In and of itself, the apartment was fine. The makeover is recent. The assistance in getting in and with our settling-in questions was also fine. But our experience of a shared, enclosed building space, especially the one night, was not fine and we cannot recommend the location to others.

Great cozy Paddington area flat
We stayed in Flat 5 on the 2nd (UK) floor. The flat is quite small, which I expect in a big city flat, but the space usage is excellent. The flat had almost everything we needed (no personal toiletries like body wash, shampoo, etc., but those were easily purchased at one of the many local pharmacies). The location is superb, with plenty of shopping and transportation right in the immediate area. The bed was comfy, the towels were great, the shower excellent. We couldn’t figure out the TV (it was a “smart tv” but the info sheet provided didn’t tell us that), but we were fine without it. The few days we were there, London was in the middle of a heat wave, but there were fans in the living room and in the bedroom, so we were comfortable. The downsides: no lift in the building, so prepare to haul your luggage up the stairs (narrow and twisty, but manageable); and I heard everything my adjacent flat neighbors were doing (so, fair warning). This was an excellent choice for a single traveler, or for a couple that travels well together! I would rent it again.

Great location but pretty small
Vicki (the property contact) was excellent in responding to texts/emails during our stay. She was always very helpful and friendly. The apartment Unit #5 is nicely appointed but is small. It is best suited for a single person or a couple. It has a small closet in the living area and in the bedroom, but space for luggage is limited. It would be tight for 3 adults to share the apartment. The stairs up to the unit are steep getting to the 3rd floor (in UK is called the 2nd floor). It's a bit of a feat with large/heavy luggage. There is no AC in the unit. Being on the top floor, it gets warm/hot during the day if it's hot/sunny outside. A fan is definitely necessary (and provided) if the temperature is above 80 degrees outside. At night, you'll want to keep the windows open to get airflow inside the apartment. It's quiet outside, so this is not a problem. The bathroom is split in this unit. The shower is in the bedroom while the sink/toilet are in the living room. This is a bit strange but you get used to it. The kitchen includes a built-in oven/range, sink, washer/dryer combo, and small refrigerator, along with a microwave. The washer/dryer works best with very small loads and you will want to run it while you are out of the unit as it is loud. The location is a 5-minute walk to both Paddington and Edgware Road Underground Stations. One other station is about a 10-minute walk. This is very convenient to getting to just about everywhere. I would stay here again.

Nice little apartment
Well situated in Paddington within a short walk to Hyde Park. Surprisingly quiet given its location. It would be a bit cramped for larger persons.
