Great location, shame about the property
The property was not cleaned at all, i had stained bed sheets and towels, quite questionable that they were even clean. Urine left in the toilet, had definitely been there a while, it was quite toxic! My 4 year old found some prescription only drugs in a bedside table draw, thankfully it was when my Mum was in the room and took it straight off her. After hunting for bedsheets, there were no spares at the house, the cleaner came to give us new ones, rambled on for 20 mins telling us how hard her week was and even that someone came to fix her boiler and shes been working really hard - she definitely didnt work hard on this place, some of the cobwebs were VERY old! Apparently 4 people were in there cleaning that day! She even kept saying how it had been cleaned when we showed her the bedsheets. We asked her to leave the sheets and we will change them as it was nearly 10pm and i was waiting to put my 4 year old to bed. She refused to leave the house to the point where i was close to calling the police to remover her! Looks like the grouting had started to be redone in the bathroom which is great, but the grout hadnt been wiped off the tiles, easily done with a standard sponge. The outside area by the the platform has some mega weeds and dead plants in pots, not how i saw it in the picturesThe house really wasnt presented well which is such a shame as its such a fantastic location and loved having the steam train stopping right outside! It was just such an aweful experience for us

Great Stay at Unique Location
We loved our stay! Everything we needed was provided for us and we loved staying in such a historic location. Even the birdwatching was great with a pair of Tawny Owls seen in the nearby woods. Next time, we will try to make sure that we time it it enjoy seeing the steam train!

Glyndfrdwy....
We had a nice time in the Station Masters House, It is well located for peace and quiet, and the novelty of being situated at a train station was cool. All beds were reported comfortable, even the bunk beds, easy sleeping when you have jet lag. Wifi was best in the kitchen and TV in living room had no signal, so ... no Brit news n weather. There weren't outside seats / table to enjoy the weather as a group of 6 sadly.

We actually restore and operate vintage railway trains. However this is a personal acquisition as Stephen's Grandfather was a station master and he wished to follow in his footsteps!

Why they chose this property

Wonderful scenery, quiet, catch a steam train right from your property, great walking and so many varied activities nearby.

What makes this property unique

A real working railway station in the midst of the glorious Berwyn hills.
