This coastal holiday home sleeping 5, is located in the gorgeous setting of Ballycotton.
Ballycotton – a perfect escape to the beautiful East Cork countryside - it is a small, picturesque fishing village which sits on a rocky ledge overlooking Ballycotton Bay and is surrounded by sandy beaches. On a clear day it is possible to see the Knockmealdown Mountains from the apartment.
Ballycotton Holiday Apartment No 6– Sleeps 5 This cosy, beautifully located apartment offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in Ireland. The tranquil sea views from the property will help you to relax – if you are lucky you might see the dolphins jumping out of the water.

The medium-sized living room will provide you and your guests with ample space (3 sofas) to lounge and chat by the stove or chill out watching the Smart TV.

The open-plan kitchen and dining room are well equipped providing you with all you need for a comfortable self-catering holiday in Ireland. The dining room seats 6 people, and you can enjoy a delicious cuppa made in the delonghi coffee machine provided.

This is a 2-bedroom self-catering apartment sleeping 5 guests:

- Bedroom 1: double bed ensuite sleeping 2 (view of the church)
- Bedroom 2: double bed and single bed sleeping 3 (sea view)

The spacious family bathroom contains a jacuzzi bathtub, toilet and hand basin.

The sea-view balcony is fitted with outdoor furniture, additionally, outside this holiday apartment, there is a shared enclosed garden with a secure fence suitable for kids.

Wi-Fi is available, and for guests working remotely, a small desk is provided in the master bedroom.

1 private parking space in front of the apartment is available.
For non-drivers there is a bus service from the village and the local shop in Shanagarry does home delivery and Tesco.

It is a small picturesque fishing village which sits on a rocky ledge overlooking Ballycotton Bay and is surrounded by sandy beaches. In the village, there is a small beach called the Conger by Ballycotton Pier.

Ballycotton has a wonderful lively atmosphere, with some great pubs and restaurants dedicated to good food made from local produce and seafood. During a stay in Ballycotton, you can enjoy the freshest fish served in award-winning restaurants or from the local gluten-free chippy straight from the boats in Ballycotton Harbour. You will receive a warm local welcome in the traditional pubs, there is live music in the village every weekend and the more energetic can enjoy our cliffside Pitch n Putt course or Ballycotton's internationally acclaimed cliff walk.
Sea Church - a restaurant and music venue hosting concerts by Irish and internationally acclaimed artists is only 200m from the apartment. Boasting a dramatic coastal location, Sea Church plays host to Ireland’s musical heavyweights as well as emerging artists in its magical, restored church while inviting guests to meet, eat, drink and relax in its ocean-inspired renovated schoolhouse. Their coffee and pastries served from the food truck are a perfect snack after a long walk.
Cush - a Michelin Star restaurant 600m away, right next to the pier.

The Cliff Walk is from Ballycotton village to Ballyandreen beach along a cliff track where you are flanked by meadows on one side and the ocean on the other. It starts at the end of the village and the walk extends over 4km on a foot-worn track along the cliff face with stunning views and passes Ballytrasna beach. From Ballyandreen, It is possible to walk the country roads back to the apartment, making the whole journey a pleasant 9km walk.

Ballycotton Playground, overlooking Ballycotton Bay, will be appreciated by your little ones.
Ballycotton has a number of moorings or anchoring outside the harbour. This is the best option for visiting boats as the harbour is very busy with fishing boats. Ballycotton Bay provides excellent holding in a good anchorage in all westerly conditions. Access is straightforward as there are no off-lying dangers for an eastern approach.

Visit Ballycotton Lifeboat station, one of the oldest in Ireland, being opened in 1858 and see the famous Mary Stanford - the first and only Lifeboat in RNLI history to have been awarded a gold medal for gallantry.

Experience Ballycotton Sea Adventures breathing the fresh Ballycotton sea air and be mesmerised by the natural beauty and stunning views that Ballycotton has to offer. Ballycotton Island Lighthouse Tours is a truly magical memory-making excursion. Travel in an open-topped boat, hike to the Ballycotton lighthouse summit & explore the lighthouse.

Ballynamona beach is a good destination for surfers and kite surfers.

For Festival and music amateurs, Ballycotton Seafood & Shanty teams host many fun family-friendly events throughout the year. The Blackbird, in the heart of Ballycotton village, has regular live music sessions throughout the year. Also, on our doorstep is the Ballymaloe Grainstore which hosts a variety of events from concerts to cinema nights.

This picturesque village is an enclave for the artist: visit the artist studios downstairs at The Shanagarry Design Centre where you can meet and greet the local artists and potters, watch live art and craft demonstrations and even have a go at being creative yourself

Ballymaloe Cookery School, Organic Farm and Gardens is situated in the village of Shanagarry, a short drive from Ballycotton Holiday Apartment No 6. A multi-award-winning cookery school offering a range of courses, delivering a first-class culinary education to students all over the world. Our holiday accommodation is the perfect choice for anyone attending an event, cookery course or function in Ballymaloe. On Saturdays until 5.00PM a delicious pizza is served from the food truck.

For a memorable family day out visit Fota Wildlife Park and Leahy’s Open Farm which has a selection of farm animal sheep, crackers crazy golf, an adventure trail, an obstacle course and much more. Titanic Experience is Cobh is a popular tourist attraction - with knowledgeable guides and immersive audio visual displays, you will be taken on a unique and emotive journey back in time.

Cork City is a 40-minute drive from this holiday apartment, making access easy from Cork Airport. Here you can visit some of Cork's top attractions such as the famous English Market, Cork Public Museum & Fitzgerald's Park, Elizabeth Fort, Barrack Street and Collins Barracks Cork Military Museum.
