About this property

Traditional cosy retreat in the heart of Connemara

Peaceful retreat in the heart of Connemara. The house is a 3-minute drive up a country lane off the main Spiddal to Carraroe road. Newly refurbished and surrounded by mature trees, the house is a perfect base for the Aran Islands, with Rossaveel ferry only a 5 minute drive away. Or take a trip to Connemara National Park. Or jump in the sea in one of the many local beaches.

Heaven in Connemara
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated, spacious and spotless. Our host Eimear was super helpful and very friendly. We especially liked the garden and the view from the patio in the evening. Our only regret is not making this wonderful home our base and staying longer. Can't recommend enough. Thank you!

Why they chose this property

The original house was built in the 1920's and has recently been refurbished. You can see some of the old walls, a meter thick! There are four well-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room and dining room are open plan, with a small kitchen off the dining room. The fireplace is cozy and the beds are comfy. The house is surrounded by mature trees, so there is lots of space for the little ones to explore whilst you relax on the patio in the evenings. Have some porridge oats ready and friendly robins might come and say hello!
