This fantastically spacious apartment is located on Great King Street in Edinburgh's city centre being just a 10 minute walk from George Street and Princes Street. It is on the top floor (2 flights of stairs) of a traditional Georgian period town house which was constructed around 1815 and extends over 2 floors with the largest bedroom taking up the entire upper floor. The accommodation otherwise comprises a very spacious living room with feature marble fireplace, separate dining area, fitted kitchen, 2 double bedrooms, single bedroom, bathroom with bath and separate shower and an additional toilet. Wifi Internet access is provided and parking may be available on request for an additional charge.

Property was great!
Great for a family with in-laws. More than enough space and the high ceilings were awesome. The location is very convenient - we were able to walk to Edinburgh Castle. Francois was a great host!

Loved this Place & Loved Scotland!
This rental exceeded my expectations. I thought the location was excellent. Close to all the tourist sites, but also, in a quieter neighborhood. It was comfortable with great windows and a lovely view from the kitchen. There are not many amenities beyond soap and a blow dryer, though the kitchen was stocked well enough for cooking. I was there a week and did not want to leave. Also, Francios is an attentive and very kind host. I had checked out and then our plane was delayed 12 hours and he let me & my friend back in to wait the day (and go to Sheep Heid Inn-recommended) until the flight left that night - whew! THANKS!

What a beauty! Spacious, comfortable, elegant apartment in glorious neighbourhood, a few minutes stroll from Princes Street and, in the other direction, the village atmosphere of Stockbridge. Cafes, bars, bakeries and supermarkets all within 5 mins walk. The kitchen is small, but there's a large dining table in huge lovely lounge. WiFi and TV worked well. Our teenage boys enjoyed their shared attic room. And all beds were comfortable. All in all, a great find!

Superb location, wonderful flat
François is an exceptional host. He allowed us to check in early and he greeted us at the flat when we arrived. Staying in this early 19th century home with soaring ceilings and wonderful views of the city made our stay in Edinburgh very special. The location is great, with lots of nearby restaurants to choose from and easy access to old town. There is a Tesco less than one block away which has everything you need for your stay. The residential neighborhood is safe and quiet.

This was a charming apartment in a fantastic location. Visitors should be aware that it is a top floor flat, with basic amenities. It has a couple of small grocery stores very close, and of course there are lots of restaurants around.

Lovely property in the heart of Edinburgh, owner sorted out travel cot for toddler up stairs as requested, communication great and would stay there again. A little extra touch that other property’s we’ve stayed at have is some family card games, board games, toys or books would go down well.

Very nice apartment in great location
We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and well equipped. The boiler was a bit patchywith hot water kicking in and out but otherwise no issues at all

Casa accogliente e piacevole da vivere, 8 comodi posti letto, quartiere tranquillo ma con negozi, pub e ristoranti, due bagni. Più bello di come appare in foto. Suggerirei di far trovare all'arrivo un benvenuto di latte, caffè, biscotti, olio e sale. Noi siamo state felici di trovare biscotti e latte richiesti da noi per l'arrivo in tarda serata. This flat was perfect for our family vacation and Hogmanay celebrations! The amenities are and furnishings are more functional than luxurious but our family of 7 was quite comfortable, especially for such an affordable rate. By the end of the week, we didn't even mind the stairs so much.

A really generously sized flat in a fabulous part of town. Some of the fittings a little tired for the price, but overall very comfortable. Efficient heating, and particularly great mattresses for a really good night's sleep. Also an excellent shower. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely lovely flat, well equipped. A very short walk to everything. Weekend free parking outside the flat was great, as was the paid for garaging that Francois made available.

Amazing location - a 15 minute walk from the center of town. Francois was a terrific host, very responsive, easy to deal with, and very helpful. Plenty of beds to accommodate a large group. Great sitting area and large dining area. Overall, very positive experience.

The location was good for a younger family. My husband and I are senior citizens. We didn't realize how hilly Edinburgh was until we got there. The younger folks were able to walk to the main sights - Edinburgh castle, the royal mile, etc. My husband and I used cabs quite a bit. The apartment is on the top floor. According to the description, it is 2 flights of stairs. They are very long, steep flights. Within the apartment, the large bedroom is on the second floor. It was nice having two bathrooms but both were on the first floor. The building is old and has a lot of character. The floor in some of the rooms was uneven and felt like they were in need of repair. The kitchen was small but adequate. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the VRBO. Edinburgh is a beautiful city.

Plenty of space!
We enjoyed our first trip to Edinburgh! The apartment has plenty of beds, great space and 2 bathrooms is a huge plus with teenagers. The trek up the hill to get to old town may not be for everyone, but the location is great to reach all of the sites. Excellent choice! Thank you!
