What makes this property unique
Llanbedr, a 10 minute walk from the cottage, is a very friendly and picturesque village on the Cambrian coast road just south of Harlech. There are a couple of pubs, a cafe and grocery store in the village. Another 10 minute walk from there will bring you down to the famous beaches at Shell Island.
Ten minutes away by car, the towns of Harlech and Barmouth offer a larger choice of restaurants and shops. Lot's of adventure type activities around, including white water rafting, mountain biking, pony trekking etc. Others might enjoy more cultured attractions. The medieval castles, prehistoric structures, and narrow gauge railways that dot a landscape steeped in history.
Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and her sisters are a 30 minute drive away. But, if you're a keen walker, Cwm Nantcol and the Rhinog Mountains just behind the cottage remains one of the UK's true wildernesses. The mountains here are arguably every bit as spectacular, but benefit from being a bit more undiscovered. At the moment at least.
