Maxwell House, a scenic cliffside getaway on the Tillamook Coast

This two-level home was one of the first to be built in the quiet, forested neighborhood of Camelot in Oceanside, Oregon. It’s cozily retro, and truly magical.

Maxwell House occupies a prime location featuring one of the most spectacular views in all of the region. Massive windows reveal stunning ocean views and the iconic Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge --home to puffins, sea lions and migrating whales.

Sip coffee or cocktails on the deck, experience epic sunsets, cozy up to the giant fireplace, watch the twinkling lights of the village on the cliffs, listen to the crashing waves.

*There is no cell service in Oceanside. Phones work with the wireless internet.

*There is one dedicated parking spot as well as a spot in the garage. Any other vehicles will need to park on the grass strip on the road below the house. There are no stairs up to the house so you will need to shuttle with other guests or walk around the block. The county doesn't allow us to park in the cul-de-sac so please don't park in front of the garage or in front of any of the neighbors properties.

* Please make sure you have indicated to correct number of guests on your booking reservation. The cleaners plans their staff based on this information. You will be charged an additional fee the guest count is over what is indicated on the reservation.

* for full disclosure, there is a camera in the front door doorbell that captures images of all people or animals that pass by for security purposes. Please do not tamper with the camera, it is there for the protection of our guests and the property.

Maxwell House Trip
Our stay was extremely wonderful. Your house was cozy and warm. The view is to die for. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. One small thing was the big dehumidifier in the basement was very loud at different time. Hope that’s normal and not something wrong with it. Thanks again.

Scenic oasis
The property was very spacious and well appointed. It was gratifying to see the beautiful mid-century furnishings with decorative touches all being pleasing to the eye but with comfort in mind. Obviously the highlight was the extra large picture windows displaying the spectacular beauty of the rocky outcroppings of the coastline. We had a lovely stay.

Beautiful, welcoming property
I give this landlord 5 stars plus. He responded to every communication very quickly. The property is beautiful, and well-appointed. You can't walk to the beach, though, unless you are in excellent hiking shape. So just know you have to drive everywhere. Our 18 year old granddaughter was shocked there wasn't a television in the living room, I thought it was awesome for there to NOT be one. 🙂

Amazing house
Super clean and the views are better than the photos. Loved the small town of a Oceanside and Nedart too- not a ton of restaurants but everywhere we ate was fantastic.

Brian and Heather are a creative couple, both musicians (one a graphic designer, one a creative director) who love architecture and design. They discovered Oceanside several years ago and have been obsessed ever since. The house is an homage to late '70s fm radio and Scandinavian coastal vacation homes.

Maxwell House is situated on one of the most stunning locations on the entire Oregon Coast. It's nestled on the hill just above the charming village of Oceanside and its epic rock formations. You will see some of the best sunsets of your life here.

What makes this property unique

Maxwell House house has an enormous and unmatched view of the Three Arch National Wildlife Refuge (First of its kind west of the Mississippi, created by Theodore Roosevelt).

It has close proximity to the village of Oceanside but has the quiet peacefulness of a retreat as it's located in a hillside enclave with not many houses.
