Welcome to a landmark on Madeline Island

5 Pines Farmhouse is truly a unique and special place on Madeline Island. In 2017, after a year of renovations, 5 Pines was completely gutted and is now updated with new appliances, bathrooms, floors, furnishings, bedding and more.

The Farmhouse is located 2 miles from downtown La Pointe, close enough to ride your bike. While not located on the beach, the Farmhouse is less than 100 yards from the sandy beach on Grant’s Point where you can walk along the shore and swim in the crystal clear water of Lake Superior.

The main floor includes the living room, dining area, bar, kitchen, pantry, laundry room, master bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the Farmhouse comfortably accommodates 11 guests. The Farmhouse sits on 7 acres of land, with a huge front lawn, perfect for playing outdoor games and hanging out by the fire pit.

Wonderful stay
5 Pines was a wonderful get-a-way for our multigenerational family. We enjoyed the spacious yard, the short walk to the water, and the proximity to town. Just lovely!

Farmhouse
This property was great. Lots of room for our big group. The yard and fire pit were used every day. The beach, only a short walk away, is awesome. The description is very accurate and the property owner was great to work with. We would definitely come back to the Farmhouse!

Wedding week at the Farmhouse
We stayed at the Farmhouse with a total of 11 friends who came from across Europe and the US to celebrate our wedding on Madeline Island. The house had everything we needed, was in a perfect location, and was spacious enough that it didn't feel cramped even with 11 adults sharing it. The owners were very communicative and helpful. We would highly recommend the Farmhouse!

Great Family Vacation
The farmhouse was perfect for my family stay at for our vacation. The owner was great came and introduced herself when we arrived and told us about the house. Tons of fun games and activities for kids and for the family to do together. Great location, close to town but also private and quiet. Tons of space for us inside the farmhouse. We all truly loved our time there.

As a child, my family spent summers on the north end of Madeline Island. After we were married, we decided to build a cabin where we could spent summers with our children. We live in Chicago 9 months of the year, and on "the Rock" the remaining.

Why they chose this property

In the 40's, this Farmhouse was rented by my paternal Grandmother. For 3 summers, she ran "5 Pines Riding Stable" for guests at Chateau Madeline, the only resort on the Island in those days. Sixty-five years later, the Farmhouse was for sale and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to keep it in the family. We decided to fully renovate the house to ensure the comfort of family and friends for years to come.
