About this property

A Sailor's Paradise - Stevens Cove Guest Quarters

Just steps from the wharf you'll find Stevens Cove Guest Quarters. The apartment is at ground level with a spacious deck overlooking the mooring field. The bay is dotted with boats in this very active sailing community of Chester - home to the largest keel-boat regatta in North America. Whether you are a sailor or just enjoy the water view this is the place to see boats large and small, modest and grand from May through October. Launch your kayak or paddleboard just a few feet from your door.

The apartment is comfortably furnished with all you will need for an extended stay. There is a comfy queen bedroom, bright and open kitchen, dining and living area and a sleek bathroom. The kitchen is fully outfitted and there is a propane barbeque on the deck.
The deck is huge so there is room to pull up your kayak or paddleboard.

Stevens Cove Guest Quarters is across the yard from a working marina and boat-building company. There will be business activity daily from 7:30 to 4:30 on weekdays. South Shore Marine provides boat launching services, repairs, and houses the Marine Shop. The apartment, although within the grounds of SS Marine is quite private with gorgeous views. At 4:30 pm all work ceases and the evening quiet takes over. Kick back with a cocktail, fire up the barbeque or take a late day paddle on the mirror flat water along the shore.

This place will appeal to anyone who loves boats and is curious about what a working boatyard is like. There are regular sightings of seals, porpoise and many varieties of coastal birds, especially in the quiet evenings.

Guests will have access to the apartment and deck. Entry is through the deck doors with a coded deadbolt.

As the surrounding area is a public business the grounds and wharf are available to guests, however, it is advised to use caution and awareness when boats are being moved about on land.

Children should not be left unattended on the grounds.

Not a good experience
The pictures of the suite are accurate with a beautiful view of the marina. The size of the unit was perfect for us. Before booking the unit, we checked to make sure there was a TV. They confirmed yes, but did not indicate that that there was no cable of satellite. We were not told it was streaming only. We had alot of issues over 2 nights trying to connect, as the wifi kept kicking us out. Cherie, the manager, after time got us a replacement TV, which finally worked. Then the front door lock and door knob had issues, and we were locked in the suite and could not get out using the designated door. Thankfully they had a second door which we could exit from, but could not locked from the outside. So we had to leave the place"open". Cherie did her best to get it fixed, but we left the location 2 days earlier, because of the issues that were taking time to repair. Lighting in the kitchen was minimal. Only dinner place setting for 4....no allowance for a friend to visit. BBQ was undesirable. We were thankful that Cherie was attentive enough to do as much as she had control of.
