The Destin area has more than enough restaurants to satisfy any appetite, stores to cure a shopaholic, and activities to wipe out the kids. Island Sands Unit is located on the ground floor. No carrying luggage up flights of stairs or climbing them every time you go to the beach! Direct access to pool. Private building, 27 units. Assigned parking. Beach service in season. Convenient and comfortable for snowbirds
We stayed 5 weeks and appreciated the easy access to the beach; the well-equipped kitchen; and the spacious living area. The hosts were great to work with, we liked Okaloosa Island, and the other snowbirds were friendly. This is a good choice for a couple wanting to spend a month or two escaping winter.

Very dissatisfied with the king bed. The mattress was terrible. It sunk in the middle and was stained. The bead frame was falling apart. The inner shower liner was old and yellow. The toilet paper couldn't have been any thinner. The back door latch needs repair. The outdoor patio furniture seating material was ripped. With that said we enjoyed everything else.

Beach is directly out the back door
Perfect beachfront spot for a small family with young kids and wants ground floor access. Hosts are very responsive and helpful with last minute reservations.

Beachfront on the ground floor. Doors are sliding at back and can be locked from outside. Free beach service included from March - November1.

What makes this property unique

Grilling is allowed on ground floor units. This unit is ground floor and has its own private grill. All grills must be pulled a minimum of 10 feet from the patio while in use.
