Family ADK Vacation
We come up to Inlet every year or so. This place was perfect. 5 adults and a almost one year old. We loved staying in town. Walking distance to everything, shops, groceries, restaurants and the beach. Loved spending our morning having coffee on the front porch and a spacious backyard for fires and a beautiful view of the forest. We definitely recommend and would come back to stay here again. Super cute and quaint inside.

Great location; pleasantly surprised by home
In Inlet, you only have a finite number of rental options. And I’ve seen/stayed in several. When we arrived at the Caboose Cottage (it’s right behind the caboose), I was very pleasantly surprised that it was updated and very clean. And the shower was fantastic! Stayed in other places where the plumbing is so outdated and drainage poor, you literally stand in 4-6” of water as you shower. Couple of things to know: If you’re really into cooking, I would plan to bring a couple sharp knives and a good cutting board (but this is literally always the case w a rental). If it’s unusually hot during your stay, they have some fans but you may want to bring 1-2 yourself. I would recommend the hosts provide some candles/lanterns/flashlight in case power goes out. Most of the time when power goes out in the mountains it’s resolved within 30 minutes. We had the unfortunate experience of a rare 7 hour power outage on our visit and luckily had our 3 year olds camp lantern for her nightlight. But it turned into a toddler power struggle (she won) when we wanted to keep it downstairs at bedtime.

Inlet Gem
If you want easy access to everything in Inlet, this is the place to stay. Only feet away from the shops and restaurants. Parking was also a plus as we have adult children visiting as well. While the weather wasn't the greatest the week we stayed, the access to shopping and dining more than made up for it. Also, the screened in front porch was one of the best amenities in the entire camp and came in handy on rainy days. The rest of the house was large, clean, and quite comfortable for six adults. The hosts, Jill and Karl were gracious and helpful at every turn. We loved our time at their Inlet retreat and look forward to our next visit.

Perfect spot right in town!
We had a great stay “behind the caboose”. Karl and Jill were very attentive, bringing firewood and taking our garbage. We loved being within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed being able to have our dog stay with us. A great spot with great hosts!
