About this property

Mountain Getaway—Hot Tub—Wifi—Game Room--Mtn Views—Fam Friendly

Welcome to our Rocky Mountain escape! When our family of 8 bought this .5 acre lot the goal was to make vacation fun again, which is why we designed this home from the ground up including surprises around every corner from a hidden children's playroom to a huge patio built for the 300+ days of Colorado sun! As natives of Northern Colorado, we understand getting to the mountains is precious. We are humbled and excited you are looking to escape and enjoy a little bit of what we call God's Country!

The home is a 1600 SF 3 bed, 2.5 bath, modern, mountain townhome that is half of a duplex. The other half is also available as a rental should you have a larger group (info pending). The open concept living area has tons of light and loads of windows that invite the outdoors inside.

The huge back patio has a great patio set, HOT TUB, propane grill, and fire pit. From the patio, the views are wide open looking across dedicated open space towards a mix of white cap and foothills mountain views. Elk and deer love the adjacent meadow and we love that they love it!

There's a beautiful master retreat with a king bed on the main level with 2 more bedrooms and a bath upstairs. The second bedroom has a luxurious queen set-up and the third bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds, both twin over full, and a secret playroom with toys, games, and tons more. Our family of 8 fits very comfortably in the home but we also sought to create a home that was inviting to parties of 2-4.

When we envisioned this get-a-way we saw our family hiking or enjoying Estes during the day and coming back home to a family-centered environment where old fashioned games thrive. Though the home has cable TV, Wifi, four HD TVs, and a DVD player, it is loaded with boards games, a foosball table, puzzles, cards, and children's books and toys.

Located on the west side of town, the main entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park is just down the road and downtown Estes Park is about 2-3 miles away.

Thank you for viewing our listing! We hope to welcome you to your next Estes Park vacation!

Fall Family Getaway
This VRBO was exactly what we expected, and a perfect place for our family trip. Our family of 5 had more than enough room with a King bed, queen bed, 3 doubles and 2 twins. The hot tub with Mountain View’s was a favorite every evening. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals, and the coffee pot worked well and there were filters and Folgers—thank you! Access to the town of Estes and Rocky Mountain national park were easy from the property location. Parking was good in the driveway of the property. We would definitely book this property again on our next trip to the area.

Great house and amenities
The house was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. We enjoyed the outdoor patio, fire pit, and hot tub, and the location and views are great. Our grandchildren visited one day and had lots of fun with all of the kids' activities. We'd love to stay here again.

The Summit
Everything we were hoping for. Beautiful views of the mountain ranges from the back front and actually all sides of the house. Elk and deer roaming the backyard. Close to downtown and the Rocky Mountain National Park. Would definitely stay here again. The grandkids loved the secret toy room.

Great location, could use some love.
We stayed here for four nights for my son's birthday and while we really enjoyed the location of this property, there were a few negatives that overshadowed the positives for us. I'll start with the pros. As previously mentioned, the location is wonderful being so close to the entry station for RMNP. It also backs to open space and lovely mountain views. Loved all the toys that the owners provided, my son had the best time playing with them. There is ample seating in the dining room for large families and a well stocked kitchen. As for the cons, it wasn't as clean as I had hoped. I kept finding hair in various places (sheets, floors, etc) but possibly the biggest issues for me was the beds. They were so uncomfortable, like sleeping on a rock. I got very little sleep the first night and ended up moving to the couch for the rest of the stay. I would not stay here again due to that issue but if you like a very firm mattress then this likely wouldn't be an issue for you.
