Okay for large groups
Was a great place, the upstairs rooms having no bathroom access made things tough for our group.

The property was even nicer than the pictures. Very comfortable, beautiful area, everything that we needed. There were 9 of us with plenty of room to spread out and play games and explore. Would love to do it all again!

Great stay, great amenities.
The location is remote in the forest with an amazing setting in pine and a giant oak tree outback. The beautiful screened in deck, well decorated home, all the amenities, and overall setting make for a wonderful stay!

House in the woods
This is a wonderful house that is well equipped for a large family gathering. The house is tucked in the National Forest and felt like we had the woods to ourselves yet only 15 minutes to Georgetown or Coloma. The kitchen and gathering space worked out well for our group of 12 people.

Enough of the city life compelled me to go live in the wilderness with the sounds of nature surrounding me 24/7 adjacent to the El Dorado National Forest. Nights are filled with beautiful constellations to explore. Days are filled with nature hikes, wildlife, and bird watching.

After owning & operating a business for 25 years in Los Angeles, I decided to open up my park-like property for guests to enjoy getting perspective, peace, and pause.

Privacy, no noise, and zero light pollution are now my priorities in order to further pursue my life goals.

I am dedicated to making guests feel welcome in a natural, safe, and serene surrounding during their stay at Bear Creek Lodge.

Why they chose this property

What separates Bear Creek Lodge from almost all of its competitors locally and worldwide is its 150 acres of private land upon which guests can rest, reflect and rejuvenate. Guests have the freedom to explore the property or relax in the 3,000 sq. ft. living space at the beautifully appointed and immaculate Lodge.

What makes this property unique

Aside from feeling as though you've been tucked into your own forested retreat, there are so many unique features at Bear Creek Lodge. From the canopy of trees surrounding the property (some of which reach upwards of 100 feet in height), to the magical night skies that put on a light show thanks to zero light pollution, Bear Creek is unlike most other properties you will find on Airbnb. Near the Lodge, there are tons of outdoor adventures awaiting, including hiking, rafting, rock climbing, skiing, boating, and fishing!
Other local attractions include wine tasting, gambling, antiquing, and exploring historic sites and cities.
Bear Creek Lodge is the perfect home base for all of your adventures. Whether you're looking for a comfortable respite after a day of discovering the sites and experiences of California Gold Country, or you're looking for a quiet pause from your hectic daily lives, the Lodge is the ideal spot for your next wooded retreat.
