About this property

Boulder Artist Home Mountain Views Garden Pet-Friendly

HI! Welcome to the Bluff Mansion. This charming 1915 Victorian house is located on a quiet street with walking distance to Pearl Street. Totally renovated interior: original floors, claw footed tub, and upholstered eclectic mix of furniture. A view of the mountains can be seen from the front porch and the upstairs deck. Upstairs has one bedroom, bathroom, and loft area with 2 twin XL beds. Backyard has a large patio, waterfall, and pergola.

The living room features a cozy sectional sofa, a vintage upholstered chair, a smart TV, Apple TV, XBox and Play Station for your entertainment needs. Adjacent to the living area, you'll discover a work space, complete with guests raving about the lightning-fast Wi-Fi.

Retreat to the master bedroom, where you'll find a luxurious queen-size bed made of three layers of organic latex topped with a sumptuous wool topper. Ample closet space, concealed behind the white curtain. All bed linens are made of organic cotton, promising a comfortable night's sleep. The loft space outside the master bedroom has 2 twin XL beds. A breathtaking mountain view is visible from both the front porch and the upstairs deck.

The downstairs bathroom exudes a touch of glamour, gleaming black walls and a vintage gold chandelier that adds a touch of opulence to your daily routine.

Pearl Street, with its mix of restaurants and shops, is just four blocks away. A leisurely 15-minute stroll will take you to the Pearl Street Mall, where you can indulge in delectable cuisine served by local eateries. Lots of live music and street performers.

You have access to the entire house. There is a shared easement with my neighbor. They have access to their side entrance through our gate and into the backyard. I will also be going back and forth through the same gate, with my dog, into the backyard where I have an artist shed that I work out of. If this bothers you, then this is not the house for you.

Super cute and cozy
Nice little home. stayed with my husband and my dog. Nice area, cute house, and it’s nice to know it’s someone’s actual home, not just a short term rental

Just what we needed
We were in Boulder for our dog's cancer treatment at CASE. This property was only a 5 minute drive from CASE and situated in a quiet neighborhood, so it was exactly what we needed: easy to/from the vet and lots of room for walks. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful.

Cute and cozy, amazing location
This little house is in the cutest neighborhood in Boulder and just blocks from all of the hot spots of pearl street. The house is beautiful and perfect for a couple to get away for a weekend.

About the host

I was born and raised in Ohio, and I lived in New York City for over 30 years. While NYC is undeniably more vibrant, Boulder has a distinctive NYC-like atmosphere. It offers numerous outstanding restaurants, coffee shops, and art galleries, all without the constant hustle, traffic noise, and pollution. Boulder boasts an impressive 150+ miles of trails, 60 parks, music venues, and is incredibly bike and pet-friendly. Most places can be easily reached on foot, by bike, or using a scooter.

Why they chose this property

The Bluff Mansion is located in Whittier. Whittier is a fantastic neighborhood with a unique blend of older single-family homes and housing for students. It's a dream for anyone who loves to walk around.

Right next to Pearl Street, you can easily understand why the early settlers chose to build their homes here. The streets are lined with beautiful trees, and there's an inviting, friendly vibe that harks back to a different era. Whittier was actually established back in 1859, and many houses in the area have historic designations.

What makes Whittier stand out are the fascinating architectural details. You'll find curved windows, sloping rooftops, and stone facades at every turn. And don't forget the neighborhood's quirky artistic touches like unique yard sculptures, hand-carved gargoyles, and vibrant house colors that add loads of character and charm.

Being so close to Downtown Boulder means you can easily walk to all the amazing things Pearl Street has to offer. Whether you're in the mood for shopping, sipping tea at the Dushanbe Tea House, or catching a show at the Boulder Theater, you'll love the pedestrian-friendly lifestyle of the Whittier neighborhood. There are plenty of bike lanes around, and the Farmer's Market is a stone's throw away.

Oh, and did you know that the famous Mork & Mindy house is right here in Whittier? It's the Victorian home at 1619 Pine Street. Plus, there's a weekly Thursday night cruiser ride that parades down Spruce, with people decked out in all sorts of costumes. It's a blast!

What makes this property unique

This charming Victorian home, over a century old, has undergone a stunning renovation that blends vintage and modern aesthetics. Original hardwood floors, a classic claw-footed tub, and a handcrafted kitchen backsplash are just a few of the unique features that grace this house. Recent upgrades include a freshly landscaped front and backyard with a pergola and waterfall.

The living room is designed for relaxation and functionality, featuring a cozy sectional sofa, a vintage upholstered chair, a smart TV, and Apple TV for your entertainment needs. Adjacent to the living area, you'll discover a well-appointed desk and office space, complete with guests raving about the lightning-fast Wi-Fi.

Retreat to the master bedroom, where you'll find a luxurious queen-size bed made of three layers of organic latex topped with a sumptuous wool topper. Ample closet space, concealed behind the simple white curtain, ensures you can store your belongings with ease. All bed linens are made of organic cotton, promising a comfortable night's sleep. Additionally, the breathtaking mountains are visible from both the front porch and the upstairs deck.
