The Forks River lodge

Summary:
This historic lodge has been the private retreat of many of the prominent movers and shakers of the Grand Traverse region for years. Magnificent full log home on 10 acres at “the forks” of the Boardman River. Situated on its own peninsula amongst the pines at the confluence of the North and South branches of the Boardman River. Perfect for fishing, hunting, kayaking & relaxing. It’s all here for you and only 15/minutes to downtown Traverse City!

The total number of people that can sleep on the property is 20+. In the main cabin is 13 guests max. It is recommended that you add the Guest House space for max comfort over 12 people

*ATTENTION* DURING THE NON-PEAK SEASON (Oct 1st - Apr 30th) THERE WILL BE FALL/WINTER SERVIES HAPPENING

Cancellation Policy:
Bookings cancelled at least 60 days before the start of stay will receive 100% refund.
Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of stay will receive a 50% refund.

The Space:
This is truly a one of a kind retreat, curl up and read a book in front of the massive stone fireplace or go out and walk along the rivers, enjoy the wildlife and changing seasons. It's a recreational masterpiece. Optional game room available.

The Neighborhood:
The property is its own 10 acre nature park in itself🙌🏼

Out in the woods…
This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property and I absolutely love it. It’s the perfect mix of ‘out in the woods’ but close enough to town for other fun. I enjoyed the morning walks down the river path, enjoying my coffee by the river and ending my nights at the fire pit. We came with three adults and 4 teenage boys. The boys loved exploring the property and the game room. This is one of those places that melts the stress away and has all the charms of a cabin in the woods with all the conveniences of home. We created a lot of great memories here as this was our last vacation before we send our oldest to college. I’m confident we will be back again!!

Great Spot
Great spot in some wilderness but very close to Traverse city. It was a nice venue to gather family and friends.

Beautiful Secluded Getaway Along 2 Rivers
Property is indisputably stunning. The grounds had plenty of space to have your friends, family and dog run around care free. The primary cabin was also beautiful (as you can see from the pictures alone) - I would recommend bringing your own knives, and pots and pans if you are a cooking enthusiast. We made due with primarily BBQing and still had a great time. All things considered, really great place for family and friends who are really comfortable with each other as there is a mostly shared sleeping arrangements. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

The property is spectacular the woods and river and surroundings where so calming and worth every penny of our stay. Great memories were made. We thank you for the beautiful peaceful property rental. Only thing we needed that we didn’t have was a larger fry pan. Wonderful job on this land.

Close to Traverse city, all the lakes and wineries but just far enough away to have 10 acres of complete privacy and NO VISIBLE NEIGHBORS! Thousands of feet of river frontage on both the North and South branch of the Boardman River!
