Come relax at our beach haven at Grand Caribbean West!

Located on the third floor, our condo sleeps six with a queen bed, bunk beds and a queen sofa sleeper. Dining area seats four along with two bar stools at the kitchen counter. Fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, tv, dvd player and wifi. Enjoy the heated outdoor pool with a hot tub. Relax on the balcony and listen to the waves in a rocking chair or sit in the high top chairs. Balcony has a small view of the ocean water.

Deep cleaning needed
The apartment is dirty, there was past guests filth under the bed, the couch and the bed sheets are stained and dirty. Upon arrival we informed the owner of the cleanliness issues and that the dinning room table had a cracked glass which would be hazardous. The owner only spoke about the table but not of correcting the cleanliness. My 2 year olds feet were black from walking on the dirty carpet and floor. The balcony has potential to be nice but is also dirty. The beach access is a very small little portion. Basically the whole beach near the apartment is private for the condos on the beach. There is one little sliver for public beach access, if you step out of boundaries you will be yelled at by the people working for the condos surrounding the public beach area. I almost forgot to mention that upon arrival the elevator was not working and I had to carry all our stuff up 3 flights of stairs.

Perfect week in Perdido Key
This was the perfect family vacation home base. The condo was clean and comfortable with a great view from the balcony. The location was great for getting to Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Pensacola for activities and restaurants. There are 2 grocery stores just across the bridge as well. The only complaints I had was the public beach accesses nearby are very, very small with private beaches on either side owned by large high rise condo buildings. This meant that to get to a less crowded beach meant packing up the car and the kids to drive to one. However there were two great options nearby with Perdido Key State Park and Johnson Beach federal park. The entrance fees were low and the beaches were less crowded and you didn’t have someone telling you that you couldn’t set up there because it’s a private beach. I realize that the condo owner doesn’t have any control over these things so I find no fault there. There was also construction going on at the time that awakened us very early in the morning, but once again the condo owner had no control over that either. This was a great condo in a great location.

Go before its too popular
Pictures don't do justice to this condo. It's nicer than the pictures, funky beachy decor, all in good condition. Nice deck with ocean views. Nice, clean pool area Beautiful beach is a 3 minute walk from the condo door if you're slow. A number of nice bars/restaurants in walking distance, in between a state park and a national park. Miles and miles of modestly/sparsely populated beach. We loved it, will likely return.
