Welcome to Scott! “Where the West Begins”
Circa 1910, This French Eclectic style building was built as The Bank of Scott until it closed in 1929 due to effects of the Great Depression. With its large significance to the area and south Louisiana commerce, this building was added to the list of National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
The Old Bank Inn is located in the center of Downtown Scott! The interior has 15 foot ceilings in the living area and all original creaky wood floors. The old bank vault built with 22-inch solid brick walls on all 4 sides now is the quaint, cozy kitchen space. The bathroom has a First-Class zero entry walk-in shower and a beautifully exposed brick wall. The living area is complete with tons of sitting space including space to lounge out and relax. The home is fully furnished including a queen size bed upstairs in a loft-style bedroom, spacious living area with 2 full-size sofas and an additional queen size bed plus a antique cypress dining table - **Please know the stairs to the bedroom are steep ladder-style stairs with handrails.**
It is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine in the brick New Orleans style courtyard complete with sitting area and landscape lighting.
