Lakeside retreat w/Mountain views


Our mountain home is located in the Spring Valley community in lovely Divide, Co. just an hour from Co. Springs. You won’t believe the amazing views of the reservoir & Pikes Peak mountain from the wrap around front deck! Enjoy your meals, soak up the sun, relax by the fire pit, watch the boaters & fishermen & relax on the deck that has an automatic awning & plenty of seating. It’s only 5 miles from Divide center for groceries or dinner out. It’s 3 miles to trailer your ATV to numerous forest trails.
(((Per the community HOA Guest fishing & access to the lakes in Spring Valley is PROHIBITED)))

On the main level is the master bedroom which has a king bed, private bath with a jacuzzi tub & separate shower. The door to the master bdrm is a pocket door that does not lock. The living room has a queen sofa sleeper & a gas fireplace for cozy days & nights. There’s a 1/2 bath nearby. Please note that the 2 bathrooms on this level have pocket doors that do not lock. Also on the main level is an updated modern kitchen. A coffee maker & a Keurig are provided. The laundry room is on the main level with full size w/d. An attached garage completes this level with inside parking for 1 vehicle.
Upstairs is a single lounger in the loft area for relaxing or reading with amazing lake views. Nearby is a private bedroom with a king bed & bath with shower. There is a balcony outside this bedroom. There is also a pack & play sleeper for your little one.
On the lower basement level is an open room with a queen bdrm set, Foosball table & a table w/3 chairs. Also on this level is a private bdrm w/queen bdrm set, a crib w/changing table & 3/4 bathroom. A fenced front yard with children’s play set completes this level.

Cell service is spotty. It’s best to use WiFi calling here. Stay connected with wireless internet. Plenty of board games are available. A Smart TV is in the living room that you can watch your apps on. There is also a DVD player to watch your favorite movies on. Some movies are provided. Cable TV service is not available. A Wii game system with a few games is provided.
A propane grill, electric smoker & extra fridge are located in the garage. There is no a/c, but it isn’t necessary due to cooler mountain climates.

Most Amazing and Beautiful Place Ever!
The cabin is located in the most beautiful and peaceful place, the view from the porch was breathtaking. The hosts were very welcoming and quick to respond to any questions. The cabin was also very clean, comfortable, spacious, and fully stocked with everything needed. The kitchen had all cooking essentials making the stay convenient for our large family. The cabin was especially equipped for families with children, we really enjoyed the fenced in playground. It was a great safe space for the kids to expend their energy without having to leave. We enjoyed walks around the lake road and it was a short drive to all the shopping and attractions in the area. We took Kayaks to 11 Mile Reservoir which is a must see and absolutely stunningly beautiful. We also shopped in Manitou Springs and rode the Cog Train to the Summit of Pikes Peak. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

My family and i were grateful for the Wares sharing a lottle piece of their heaven with us.❤️ Gorgeous place and beyond peaceful. They were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away.

Had a great experience. The cabin was immaculate the view was beautiful and it was just an overall great time. The owners were responsive and timely. I Would rent again.

Chris & Doug's cabin has everything you need for a relaxing & fun vacation. The view is spectacular and we were entertained by the hummingbirds.

Wonderful getaway
We would definitely return! Owners were communicative, home is clean and beautifully maintained. Views are spectacular! The driveway is steep and intimidating to reverse on exit, but paved and manageable for an experienced driver.

We live an hr away in Co. Springs. We visited Spring Valley in fall of 2015 for the weekend. We fell in love with the quiet, beautiful area & started looking around for a “weekend” home to purchase. We found out the cabin was available, but it needed a lot of repairs & upgrades. The views from the front porch were so amazing and the owner was so awesome, we decided to buy it. Within the 1st year we had all of the repairs done & most of the upgrades. We loved going up on the weekends & our grown children also enjoyed their time there.
A few yrs later we decided to list the cabin on VRBO. This has enabled us to do more renovations & upgrades. We feel blessed to have found our cabin & really enjoy sharing it & the beautiful setting with others.

Why they chose this property

We purchased our cabin in 2015 & have had a full renovation done to include a new roof, driveway, septic system, radon mitigation, electrical upgrades, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, decks, appliances, paint, flooring, countertops, lighting, faucets, window blinds, furnace, hot water heater, humidifier, tv, fenced front yard w/children’s play set, added a bdrm, bath & Foosball table in the basement & some new furniture.

What makes this property unique

The Lake & Mountain Views are breathtaking! It’s a very quiet area & the local neighbors are kind & helpful.
