The Luberon Massif is a low mountain range that extends from east to west between the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the department of Vaucluse, France. The first mention of the massif dates back to the beginning of the Christian era (Louerionos [Quand?]). The modern form Luberon (or Luberon according to a currently disputed graph) is attested from the eighteenth century.
