We were 2 families that just wanted to get away for a long weekend and allow a fun, learning experience for ourselves & our kids in Gettysburg. That's exactly what we did. The house was just what we needed, with enough space for us to spread out when needed and come together to play a board game or watch a movie together to relax in the evening after a long day of learning. The kids loved basically having the basement and it was nice for the adults to have some space on the main levels. The house is beyond supplied with whatever you could need. In case you're wondering (because I was) there it's a large Crock-Pot/slow cooker in the kitchen, a standing mixer, a toaster oven, 2 fridge/freezer (1 in the basement) and 2 drip coffee makers with plenty of filters. The outside decks and grounds are beautiful and cared for. The kids tried to use the hot tub the first night but the chlorine smell was too overwhelming, so we nixed that and they didn't ask again, so I can't further comment on that, but clearly it was clean and looked very nice. The only other "issue" we had was just the lighting on the main level; we wanted to eat and play boardgames together with the kids, but the eating area was too dark so it wasn't great for that. This certainly didn't ruin our experience, we just adapted. We would stay again.
