Captain John’s is a comfortable, inviting, two-level home on the quiet north end of Cannon Beach - but it also offers easy access to downtown! According to the Cannon Beach Historical Society, the house was built in 1928 by a bootlegger who distributed his liquor up and down the coast during Prohibition. It still possesses much of its original charm, including beautiful wood floors and beadboard walls and ceilings that create a warm and cozy beach atmosphere.
Enjoy four bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare delicious meals, an outdoor deck with a convenient gas grill and dining area, and a furnished sunroom to use in both summer and winter. In addition to the living room media, the bedroom with twin beds features a smart TV with apps for streaming (with your own accounts) plus an HDMI port for connecting your computer or game console. And you won't run out of hot water with the tankless water heater. Captain John’s is the perfect spot for your family's next vacation on the Oregon Coast!
This home is located less than a mile from downtown Cannon Beach and its wide variety of great restaurants, art galleries, and shops. Ecola State Park, with its scenic vistas, hiking trails, and tidepools brimming with marine life, is just a mile and a half north. Tolovana Beach is two and a half miles south, the ideal spot to fly a kite, build sandcastles, or just take a leisurely stroll along the beach.

All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
