About this property

Ski In / Ski Out Luxury Cabin, next to Chair 3, Hot Tub, Sleeps 5, Fireplace and AC!

Welcome to Black Bear Cabins. The cabins are four individual ski-in/ski-out luxury log cabins perfect for four seasons of retreat. The cozy cabins are optimally located near the Whitefish Mountain Ski Village with an easy 30-second ski or snowboard to Chair 3 and a short, five-minute walk to the resort restaurants, bars, shopping. The free SNOW bus shuttle can also give you a lift into charming Whitefish, just a short ride down the mountain. If you have a larger group or the dates you are looking for are not available, please inquire about our other adjacent cabins.

Black Bear Cabins are a wonderful starting location for an amazing trip to many attractions in Northwest Montana including Glacier National Park, Whitefish and Flathead Lakes, abundant wildlife viewing, and the many Montana rivers that flow through the Flathead Valley. Not only is Whitefish an epic ski resort in the winter, but during spring, summer, and early autumn it is a water sports paradise ideal for fishing, boating, or rafting. Once spring/summertime rolls around just walk out the front door for amazing hiking, mountain biking, huckleberry picking, scenic lift rides to the summit, zip-lining, and many other fun things to do on the resort during the warmer months.

Much attention to detail went into designing and creating these Montana hand-carved log cabins. They are a perfect mix of rustic and contemporary, unlike anything else you'll find at Whitefish Mountain! Designed for couples or small families, each cabin hosts a downstairs queen, another queen bed in the loft, and a full sleeper sofa downstairs. This 900 sq/ft cabin can accommodate up to 5 guests and houses a fully-equipped kitchen, two full bathrooms, washer/dryer, outdoor grill, and hot tub. There's also a gas fireplace and air conditioning. The cabins are also outfitted with complimentary wifi, smart TVs, and loft AC units. Note: the loft access is a sturdy, attached ladder. Recommended for older children and physically capable adults only.

Location, location, location! Our four cozy cabins are an easy 30-second run to Chair 3 which has the only night skiing and terrain park on the Mountain. The Black Bear Cabins are a short walk or ski to the resort's Upper Village with restaurants, bars, and shopping. The Kandahar, Northwest Montana's only five-star restaurant is also a short walk away.

Whitefish Mountain Resort is consistently rated among the top 10 ski destinations in Ski Magazine. It is also the 14th largest ski area in the US. Whitefish Mountain has over 100 trails, 335 inches of snowfall a year, and 3000 skiable acres which make it fun for skiers of all abilities. Book today!

Nice Cabin, well located
My son and I stayed a few nights in this cabin. Great location, 20 second walk to the snow to ski down to chair 3, two minute walk to the Village. The cabin is small but cozy. Bathrooms have nice finishes, decorated well. Cabin was clean and kept up nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay and think that the value for our money was very good.

Last minute trip to take my son skiing. It was perfect for the two of us. Great location for night skiing and the terrain park.

Nice Cabin, Pics Need Updated
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Black Bear Cabin #3. The cabin was exactly what we needed while hiking in Glacier and Yellowstone for a week. Unfortunately, there was construction behind our cabin with tall new condos or townhomes directly behind us; while the photos presented on VRBO, there are 0 buildings behind the cabin to obstruct your view of the wilderness. From the front porch, you can see the mountains during the day and stars lining the sky in the evening.

We visited in August and the property was a cozy place to stay. The hot tub was only a few steps out the back door which was great! Beautiful views out the front door. Only negative is the local restaurants and bars close at 8 or 9 so plan accordingly.

An Ok Place
We liked this cabin because it was clean and everything was in good working conditions. Driving 12-15 min to Whitefish every time for dining or shopping, however, was not what we expected. Walking to town was not an option, since the cabin is located way uphill in a ski resort. Overall, we liked our stay.
