About this property

Cabin at Mickelson Trail and Rapid Creek in Rochford

Serene 720 sq ft cabin in the north central Black Hills with the Mickelson Trail and Rapid Creek running through the property. Enjoy direct access to the 109 mile Michelson Trail, famed for beautiful bicycling, walking or hiking, that runs through the heart of the Black Hills. The cabin has two bedrooms (curtains instead of doors on bedrooms) and one bath with a tub/shower. Both bedrooms have queen beds. Sofa sleeper in the living room. The property comes fully furnished with towels, linens, air conditioning, outdoor grill and griddle, large patio and an outdoor propane fire pit. A tv and large selection of DVD's are also available. WIFI and Verizon cell service are on the property. Access to the property crosses over a small wooden bridge so we ask that vehicles pulling trailers and oversize vehicles park at the Rochford trailhead approximately 200 yards from the cabin. There are three roads into Rochford but only the one from Lead/Deadwood (Hwy 85 WY/Alt 14 SD) is paved. The rest require 11-16 miles travel on well maintained gravel.

Great time
We had a great time in the black hills. Our boys (twin 6 year olds) loved playing with the chickens, seeing deer every morning / evening, and s’mores on the bon fire pit. A big bonus was a nice trout stream right in front of the property where we were able to do some fly fishing for trout. The property is a bit out of the way, but not too hard to get to. We liked the fact that it was a more secluded location and we’re extremely happy with the cabin.

HIDDEN TREASURE !!!
Perfect little hide away. Very comfy house. Way larger than listing states. Only bad, no washer and dryer. Other than that, we loved it.
