About this property

Stunning Lake Views on shores of Lake Erie

This spectacular cottage has striking views of the lake from the entire open concept cottage with large front windows and an enormous screened in porch. The one of a kind cottage offers the rustic feel of a cabin, but on a huge scale. Using native lumber from the expansive, wooded back yard for the interior wood paneling and homemade stained glass are just some of the many personal touches you will find throughout.

With 3 large bedrooms and two baths, there is plenty of space for a large family. Featuring a huge screened in porch, with updated amazing sunroom, full dining area that seats 8 and a wonderfully equipped kitchen. All of your modern appliances are here including microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, toaster and coffee maker and outdoor propane grill.

Bedroom configurations are as follows:

Bedroom 1 – King bed with ensuite bath (Tub and shower)
Bedroom 2 – Queen Bed
Bedroom 3 – Queen Bed and 2 Twins beds (sleeps 4)
Dedicated office space with 2nd bathroom attached.

We provide all linens and towels, cookware, dinnerware, DVD player and large flat screen TV.

Only a hop, skip and a jump away from the Buffalo Canoe Club, Bertie Boat Club and Crystal Beach, this is a perfect vacation spot if you are looking to get away from it all. Locally, we have many activities to enjoy like several public beach areas, Farmer’s Markets, live thoroughbred racing at Fort Erie Race Track, historic sites such as Old Fort Erie and the Ridgeway Battlefield, Safari Niagara and local dining and shopping. Take a short 20 minute drive to Niagara Falls to view the magnificent waterfall and other attractions like Maid of the Mist, Clifton Hill, Bird Kingdom, Butterfly Conservatory or enjoy over 40 regional golf courses such as Thundering Waters or Legends on the Niagara.

For safety, please note that absolutely no outdoor or indoor fires of any kind are permitted at this cottage.. This is a great location for boating, kayaking and canoeing! There is loads of space behind the cottage to store your equipment and boat launches are nearby. Enjoy your morning coffee or play some cards on the large screened in porch with the soothing sight and sound of the waves.

Please note that although we offer amazing lake views, this cottage has a rocky shoreline and is not beachfront. It is amazing for fishing and you can anchor your boat just across the street, which is very convenient. TOTAL Maximum Occupancy is 8 guests with a maximum of 6 adults. Bay Beach passes are NOT provided with this home.

Home on lake Erie
We were very impressed with the accommodation. The home was clean and well equipped. We were provided with “starter” consumables but we knew that from the start so brought our own. We did have a problem with bees in one of the bedroom, but luckily there were enough beds to accommodate all of us and we just closed off that room. It was reported and we were assured it would be looked after. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home.

Great location but things to note
Can't beat the location of this property - absolutely stunning!! Our feedback as a group was that the house is a bit dated and could use a face-life including rooms where the light switches were taped off (not sure why). Biggest thing to know in advance is that there are NO basic toiletries included - bring your own soap, toilet paper, etc. A bit of a shocker for people travelling from western Canada and California. Also of note, is that while there are pictures of a great fireplace, you are not allowed to have a fire. Lastly, the TV only has 4 or 5 channels and they are not great. A suggestion from our party is that the host install a smart TV so that you can at least watch Netflix or other streaming services.
