Welcome to Schroon Lake Serenity, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, private year-round retreat located within the beautiful Adirondack Park on Schroon Lake.

This 1350 sq. ft. home with retro mid-century charm is surrounded by trees and built over a woodland stream. It has a glass panel in the floor for viewing the stream in the dining area. Modern conveniences include a Smart TV, WiFi, newer kitchen appliances, A/C & washer/dryer. Recent upgrades/renovations were completed in Fall/Winter 2023-2024.

Schroon Lake Serenity enjoys gorgeous lake views, both from the house and at the waterfront located less than 50 yards from the front door. The best is the private 100’ beach and dock, easily accessed by crossing East Shore Drive. Back at the house, a large, expansive deck with gas grill provides a lovely space for outdoor meals and general relaxation.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed with a view of the lake. The two guest bedrooms have queen-sized beds. All bedrooms share a full bath. There is a pull-out queen sofa in the back living room. Note: all the upstairs bedrooms have open ceilings which add to the charm of the home.

Schroon Lake Serenity is perfect for those who opt to rent in a secluded, quiet part of the Adirondacks that’s just a short drive to a local store, town, or highway. Ideal for families, couples, friends' getaways, and work-group / meditative retreats. There's plenty of room for a yoga mat (or more!) on the deck at the house or the floating dock on the lake. Kids will love exploring the natural surroundings - both the stream & the beach.

We want you to relax and feel comfortable at your home away from home. Feel free to watch the old VHS tapes/DVDs, use the games, and borrow books from the library. Get cozy in front of the wood-burning fireplace in the living room, or have fun roasting marshmallows at the movable fire pit on the beach. Additional amenities include two stand-up paddleboards, two kayaks (with adult life jackets), and a junior/kids' kayak for your exclusive enjoyment at the waterfront.

Cleaning fees are paid directly to staff and include cleaning, linens/towels/laundry, and garbage removal.

Awesome ADK Weekend
We love Schroon Lake Serenity! The house is lovely and the location on the lake is excellent. The front porch is one of our favorite spots, because it feels like you are sitting in the trees. The beach is perfect for kids and families. In addition, the proximity of town is convenient for grocery shopping etc. Kirsten is a fantastic host. We look forward to returning next year!

Looks good until you get there
The lake is across the street,which I dont believe I saw in the listing.Has an awesome lake and mountain view from the house,unfortunately,you cant see hardly any of it due to the trees not being trimmed.The tile in the kitchen is coming up and cracked.Various things need repaired in the downstairs area.Unfinished drywall repairs in the bathrooms.The upstairs is very nice and looks recently remodeled.I would not stay here again though for the price and lack of maintenance.

Great lake house!
We loved staying here. This was our second time renting this house. The location is perfect. The lake is gorgeous and I really enjoyed using the kayak. The house has everything you need, and everything is in good working order. There are plenty of hiking trails and restaurants nearby. It is a perfect getaway lake house. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Schroon Lake Serenity was purchased for summer, fall, and winter-weekend skiing getaways as a multi-generational gathering place for close/extended family and dear friends. It is a safe, comfortable, cozy home base to enjoy the beautiful Adirondack Park, peaceful Schroon Lake, and everything the area has to offer.

What makes this property unique

Schroon Lake Serenity has gorgeous views, a private beach on a beautiful lake, inspiring natural surroundings, and plenty of amenities. The house has a fun and funky, retro design - it's situated in the middle of the trees and built over a stream, which you can view through a glass panel built into the floor. Mostly, though, it has a peaceful, restful energy that provides the perfect backdrop for many happy memories.
