About this property

Superb and unique 18th century mansion with modern comfort in the Loire Valley

Our family home is a very unique property. The wine estate dates back to the 16th century, the mansion is from the 18th century and was extended in 1850. While preserving this old heritage, we equipped the property with all modern confort. The property is surrounded by nature, the vineyards and the woods, whilst very close to the major cities of Tours and Amboise. Part of the building is carved into the rock. It counts with old cellars, troglodyte rooms, grotto, a little wood giving direct access to the vineyards, a heated pool amidst lush gardens, a french garden, and a patio. There are 3 living rooms, 2 kitchens, a barbecue, 2 dining rooms (in the rock) and 10 bedrooms with 7 bathrooms. It accommodates 20 people in great style and comfort. The parking has 5 slots. The old gate is monitored with a remote control. The temperature is controlled in every room, with floor heating for the rooms in the rock and A/C in the main house. The house is equipped with flatscreen TV, cable channels, home cinema, wireless Internet. Furnitures are a mix of contemporary art, vintage items and old collectors.

Wine tasting in Loire Velley
We had a great one week stay at this beautiful property. The owners couldn’t have been any more accommodating and thought of everything. There were 10 of us and after visiting wineries in the area, the owners arranged for catered/chef dinners for us in their dining room. It was a lovely setting, the pool was nice and the garden was beautiful. They opened their entire home to us and we were very comfortable. We highly recommend this place and plan to return.

We are a family passionate about social encounters, good food, good life, old stones, gardening and traveling. We've been renovating Le Gaimont with 3 generations of our family. It is therefore a very personal property, which we are happy to share with guests who appreciate and respect this unique heritage. When we are not traveling and renting the whole property, we host and welcome guests in our guest rooms as a B&B.

Why they chose this property

Le Gaimont is a unique place, close to the city and the cultural wonders of the Loire Valley, whilst hidden in a small village amidst lush nature and the vineyards. The old stones and charming gardens of this little chateau create a unique privileged setting whilst all modern comfort is provided.
