The Helen Louise House, located in a quiet neighborhood, is only a 10 minute walk from downtown Fredericksburg's museums, restaurants, art galleries, shops, and wine tasting rooms. The charming 2 bed/2 bath house, built in 1950 and lovingly renovated and expanded in 2016, is perfect for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. You will appreciate the fully equipped large kitchen and wine bar, the sparkling clean full bathrooms, the light and airy screened-in porch, and the large and comfortable living room. Additionally, the property is fully landscaped with a large backyard complete with a 2-person hammock and the sound of a soothing fountain. Enjoy a picnic lunch or dinner outside on the shaded patio beneath a lovely, mature pecan tree. If it's chilly, warm up by the chimenea and watch the yard art in the hen house! You are welcome to enjoy exploring Fredericksburg riding one of the many cruiser bikes available in the garage. You'll love the small touches provided by us, the private owners of the Helen Louise House--from the bathroom amenities baskets to the wine and snack basket, your stay will be unforgettable!

Perfect setting
What a charming house and neighborhood, convenient to everything, yet away from the traffic and crowds! Our host has thought of every possible need or want in a vacation rental. The screened in porch and shady backyard were a welcome oasis at the end of a busy day. We would highly recommend this property to anyone planning to visit Fredericksburg.

Spectacular!
This property is outstanding. My family thoroughly enjoyed the charming character and convenient location. Beth provides all the needed amenities, more than most VRBOs, as we've visited several around the world. The relaxation in the sunroom with close views of dozens of birds is the cherry on top. We highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone who visits Fredericksburg.

Clean property and great location
The home was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The welcome basket was a great touch. We enjoyed all the snacks and bottle of wine! It was an easy walk to main street and a lovely neighborhood to stroll through. We would all definitely recommend this home to other visitors to Fredericksburg!

Get Away
This is our second time to stay at this beautiful house. It is so comfortable and relaxing. The screened porch watching the birds and the green yard was so peaceful! We will definitely be back!

Third stay at this amazing house!
Friends and I have made Fredericksburg an annual trip and we’ve now stayed at the Helen Louise house three times. We couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else…the thoughtful touches, the cleanliness of the entire house, the back porch (perfect for morning coffee!), the communication with the host Beth, it’s all great! See you next year!

Max and I (Beth) own and manage the Helen Louise House, named after my mother. We bought the house in 2016 because we love Fredericksburg and love riding our bikes around the Hill Country. Since we live in Austin, we decided to rent the house, when we ourselves aren’t able to use it. We hope you’ll love the house as much as we do!
