Beautiful Luxury Condo With Harbor and Sea Views-Schooner Bay

Constructed in 1987 and completely refurnished and redecorated in recent years, #109 Defender in Schooner Bay is comfortable and attractive with granite counters, modern cabinetry, new furnishings including complete entertainment center with 50 inch 4k Samsung Smart TV, stereo sound system (with Bluetooth to stream from your device), Hi-Def cable, CD and DVD players and Apple TV plus split system central A/C in all rooms. Located just outside of Christiansted, the property offers superb convenience to shopping, beaches, water sports, and restaurants (among the best in the Caribbean).

A major feature of the property is a complete property wide back-up power system that provides almost instantaneous reserve power if, for any reason, the utility company power fails.

St. Croix's weather is perfect year around and the beaches and reefs are among the most beautiful in the world.

Schooner Bay is conveniently located in Gallows Bay, near Christiansted, on St. Croix, USVI. The entire island can be easily accessed by car or jeep; we will be pleased to assist you with your auto needs. The Westside (Harbor View) pool at Schooner Bay offers a panoramic view of Christiansted Harbor and the reefs on the sea. The Eastside (Sea View)pool offers a beautiful sea view.

The villa features a very comfortable tropical motif. A nicely furnished 30' Gallery provides a view through the masts of the boats in the marina to the town, harbor and sea. #109 Defender in Schooner Bay is spacious and can accommodate up to 5 guests. The unit features a fully equipped kitchen, the entertainment center described above and fast broadband internet service.

Perfect month in STX at Schooner Bay!
This is my family's third year in STX over the holidays, and our first stay at Schooner Bay. The first thing we noticed was the amazingly clean smell as soon as we opened the door. Later when we met longtime housekeeper Carmel, we understood why things were so clean! This 2-bed, 2-bath condo is very spacious and well-appointed. We stayed for one month and can't say enough about our time in Tom's unit. Our 19-year-old twin daughters loved the walkability to several great restaurants (Bistro, Marias, No Bones), and we parents loved the safety of the area and condo complex. Overnite security guard right across the street from our unit was an added comfort. The TV started to go out a few days after our arrival. We were impressed with both Tom's responsiveness and property mgr Jonathon's quick action. He had the TV replaced and fully hooked up by the time we made it back from the beach that same day. The teens especially appreciated that while they were with us for part of the trip. They enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, and having music playing thru TV. I worked for part of our stay and fast internet and backup generator were both reliable and a must. The outdoor gallery was also spectacular and we went spent much time out there, day and night. The flowers & greenery around the gallery (& entire complex) is so lush, that you almost feel like you are in your own private little corner of paradise. We can't wait to come back and stay again in Tom's condo!

Our week long stay could not have been any better! The condo was very clean and felt like home. Tom was very helpful prior to and during our stay. We will definitely stay again when we plan a trip back to St. Croix!

Fabulous Stay
We greatly enjoyed a week stay. The location was great with restaurants and stores within walking distance. The parking spot was within 15 steps of the door. We greatly enjoyed watching the hummingbirds every morning in the flowering shrubs next to the balcony where we are breakfast daily. The host is a most excellent communicator. He gave us some great tips on places to go and things to see. The photos of the condo are spot on. The bed was very comfortable. The host provided plenty of towels.

Perfect location!!
Location is perfect! We barely used a quarter tank of gas to get to the city/boardwalk for (4) days. Host was very helpful in finding things to do & places to eat. Housekeeping was friendly upon arrival (we accidentally arrive about 20min early). Washer & dryer inside condo was helpful! AC units in all rooms!! (I wish The unit in master bedroom could blow a little harder though). We had our 14month old toddler with us and had no issues. Location was very quiet. St. Croix is very laid back & chill.., perfect R&R. But the boardwalk gave us a little “chill” party time. I would def book again!

St Croix getaway
My husband and I, and two children (9 and 11) stayed for 9 nights. The condo is exactly as described, not fancy, but cozy and clean. We loved the gallery (great for breakfast with a view). The parking spot is very close, made it easy to haul our snorkeling stuff back and forth. Both pools are nice, clean, and with wonderful views (the pools are open until 10pm, so we loved taking a swim after dark, so beautiful and you can hear the music from the bands on boardwalk). The second pool is a little tricky to find, it's a bit of a walk, but my kids loved it as it has a lot of pool toys and games. In the apartment you get quite a bit of noise during the day, from the marina and other businesses located right outside (they were doing some repairs while we were there) but it wasn't a problem for us as we were usually out and about exploring the island. We loved the location, so close to Christiansted with its wonderful restaurants and boardwalk. Also, Protestant Cay and The Buccaneer are close if you want to spend a day on a beach with service, we did both and loved it. The location is wonderful, in a great spot if you plan to explore all sides of the island. Tom was very quick to respond to all of our questions. Overall, we loved it and would defiantly consider booking again.

Relaxation In St. Croix
On the negative side, the only comments that I have is that the blinds needed to be repaired and while this is NOT a reflection on the property, the road leading to it was in poor shape. Overall a great description of the property, places to eat and things to do. We had a few questions and Tom was quick and very responsive. The pool was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

It is a lovely property in a very convenient location, offers the possibility of walking to the nearby bank, post office and bistro. The parking spot is challenging!

Great Vacation!
My wife and I stayed at Scooner’s Bay for a nice 5 day vacation. The condo was very nice with large rooms and extremely clean. Quick 2 minute drive to downtown and within walking distance of No Bones restaurant and the Bistro Coffee and Eatery for breakfast. Great view of downtown from the pool.

My family just returned from Schooner Bay Condo's and we had an amazing time. This was our first time to St. Croix and will not be our last time. The temperatures, the beaches, the people, adventure tours were amazing every day we were down there. The unit that we stayed in was great for our family of 4. The boys enjoyed the room with the 2 twin beds, while my wife and I used the master suite. The condo comes furnished with all of the essential items to dine in if needed, which we did breakfast most mornings. Even though they have a table for 4, we are outside on the patio each morning to hear the sounds of the island. The condo is set on the side of a hill, overlooking the Bay which provides great views from the pool that we used each day in the afternoon hours. Every neighbor that we came in contact with shared their stories of St. Croix, the local gems to find, the beaches to go to, the shopping markets. Tom, the owner of this unit, shared so much helpful information to myself while we were planning our trip, guides and information for meals, activities, beaches during our stay. I wish that we were still there and would use this property that Tom has again when I travel there again.

We had 3 generations staying at the condo. The kitched was well equipped and there were some nice extras in the unit; beach chairs, coolers, beach towels. We enjoyed the large patio/gallery for morning coffe with an ocean view. It was a nice locations, close to Christiansted, Hotel on the Cay, Gallows Bay. Tom was very pleasant to deal with and responsive. Would definately stay there again.

Tom is such an amazing host! His property is located a short walk from the boardwalk which makes shopping and a day on the sandy beach at Hotel on the Cay so convenient. It’s right next to “No Bones” a really nice restaurant with great food. He gave us great suggestions for places to go. We happened to be in town when The Roseway schooner was sailing and he even got us tickets for that. Tom went way above and beyond to make our stay Fabulous. Would give 10 stars if we could. So appreciative! Thanks again Tom!

Ann and Tom live in Richboro, PA, in Bucks County, which is just north of Philadelphia. Ann is a Registered Nurse and is a retired school nurse. Tom is involved with the family businesses which include an outdoor swim club, a Halloween entertainment business, and a small marketing firm. One of the marketing firm's projects is the popular VisitStCroix web site. Tom holds an MBA degree, is a former banking executive and military officer and is active in veterans affairs.

St. Croix is the perfect place to be laid back and relax. It's unique combination of culture, history and the perfect tropical setting are unsurpassed in the Caribbean. Under the US flag, there is less stress coming and going than foreign islands. Plus you have the convenience of the US Post office and US banks and the protection of US laws. Perhaps the greatest benefit is the weather- perfect year around. Average 12 month daytime high is 85-88 degrees. Average nighttime low is 74-78 degrees.
