Middle Shore Hideaway

Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

You'll be able to easily walk to Geneva Beach on the shores of Middle Pea Porridge Pond from this four-bedroom dog-friendly home in Madison, a newly constructed New Hampshire retreat that's beautifully positioned among the trees. After a day of swimming in the lake, you can toss your swimsuits in the private washer/dryer, unwind in two air conditioned living areas, and curl up for an afternoon nap on the plush sectional sofa. Get the gas grill going at dinnertime, sit down to eat at the table on the deck or the picnic table at the forest's edge, and roast marshmallows and swap stories in the warmth of the outdoor firepit each evening. Back inside, you can make a pot of hot cocoa or coffee in the sparkling kitchen with stainless steel appliances, choose a movie to watch on the Smart TV, and get a restful night's sleep in one of the four bedrooms. Choose between two upstairs rooms - a king master suite with a private balcony and a queen guest bedroom - and two bedrooms downstairs - one with a twin-over-full bunk bed and another with two sets of twin bunks.

What's nearby:
This home sits one block back from the shores of Middle Pea Porridge Pond, just a few steps down the road from Geneva Beach (one of five sandy association beaches in the immediate area). When you're not swimming and sunbathing on the lakeshore, you'll be less than five miles south of downtown Conway, where you can meet up with the iconic Kancamagus Highway for a spectacular foliage drive in autumn. If you're visiting in winter, you'll have your choice of nearby ski slopes, including King Pine (eight miles south), Cranmore (11 miles north), and Attitash (18 miles northwest). You'll also be a few minutes' drive from the Conway Scenic Railroad and a wealth of tax-free outlet shopping in Conway and North Conway.

short supplies bad communication
They only provided 10 pieces of napkins for our 7 guests, and refused to provide more. They only have 2 set of travel size shampoo and conditioner. the communication/customer service was very bad. they didn't know who you were, asked the same question over and over again.

Wonderful for adults and kids!
The house was so comfortable for all of us. The baby gates on the steps were a wonderful touch. Plenty of room for the teens and young kids to spread out. Fishing, kayaking, swimming…. We had the best time playing in the ponds.

Photos are deceiving
Cleanliness is a 10 House is a 6. Let me explain, first off lots of spider webs on ceiling coming down to cabinets. Beds are pretty stiff. Not a single closet for clothes etc. Area: amazing, but in the photos they show a photo of a lake which made us THINK we had a lake view on the balcony, false advertising. House is very overpriced in my opinion, looks way bigger in photos and there is no land for kids to run around because its on a hill and has no backyard area. Would we rent it again? No, 3,000$ for 4 nights totally not worth it. Another problem, hot water — my husband thank god works in nyc so he knows about breakers etc, otherwise the vacasa person phone number we had never replied once during our stay, we would of never knew how to turn on the hot water. So yea long story short, house is close by town and good area, just looks way different in the photos. So yea they need to lower the price otherwise its not worth it.

Winter stay
House was over nice. Very clean and everything worked. Very spacious. Reason for 4 stars is the drive way was very icy. We got stuck a couple times in a truck. A car wouldn’t have been able to go up the hill driveway. Also the previous guest didn’t pick up any of the dog poop therefore I had to too make sure my dogs didn’t get into it.
