While the lodge is cozy and you may not want to leave your leather pull-out lounge chair facing the beautiful White River, we do recommend getting out and exploring the beauty the Mountain View area has to offer.

Located just 5-10 minutes away from some of the most scenic hiking trails and underground caverns in the country, you will be in awe of the beauty that surrounds you.

The town, located deep in the Ozarks is surrounded by mountains and rivers, offering outdoor activities that include caving at Blanchard Springs Caverns, fly fishing on the White River and hiking some of the most scenic trails in the country.

Just 10 minutes North on Highway 14 you'll find one of the most glorious cave systems in the United States - Blanchard Springs Caverns. In the same park, enjoy hiking and fishing surrounding beautiful Mirror Lake.

Enjoy a scenic and adventurous horseback ride with family and friends at OK Trading Post, only 5 minutes North on Highway 14.

Even closer, only 3 minutes North on Highway 14, you'll find the Allison Trailhead at the beginning of North Sylamore Creek Hiking Trails - one of the top 10 the most scenic trails in the Country.

Fishing is always a great way to catch a tasty dinner with Drew’s White River Fishing: 870-213-5900. He offers a dinner and will clean the fish, cook them and prepare them offering several different ways.

A fishing license is required to fish which is available for purchase at Anglers White River Resort, located two minutes from the property and is also a great place to get a nice lunch or dinner with beautiful views of the White River. They also have fishing boats available for rent.

Explore Piney Creek on kayaks or canoes with Piney Creek Kayak Tours. Contact Jody at: 870-291-7996 or 870-291-7091.

Visitors to Mountain View, Arkansas can also take in a bit of the flavor and culture of the area at the Ozark Folk Center State Park, which preserves Ozark heritage in music, crafts, and herbs, and presents it as living history.

The park is also home to Loco Ropes, a state-of-the-art treetop adventure park experience, where you'll find a ropes course with three different segments totaling more than 30 challenges to test your nerve, endurance, agility, and strength.

The 50-mile Syllamo Mountain Bike Trail is also minutes away. The trail is designated by the International Mountain Biking Association as an "Epic Ride," a status only 37 trails across the nation currently hold. Outside Magazine recently listed the trail as one of the Top 20 Outdoor Destinations.

Needless to say, our cozy lodge is the perfect location for any adventurer or if you just want to relax and enjoy a breath-taking view of The White River.

Expect a two-hour drive from Little Rock. Take I-40 W until exit 125, when you hit US 65 North. After about 40 miles, veer right onto AR-9. Follow AR-9 for 35 miles, until you hit Mountain View.

Wonderland
This cabin was exactly as the pictures portrayed with no exaggerations. Beds so comfortable and spacious living area with so many recliners that everyone had their own place. Everyone could sit at the huge dining area for breakfast in the morning and games in the evening. The sun room overlooking the balcony and the scenic view of the river was our greatest enjoyment. I was hoping the river could be seen but it was just Right There! In the morning our side of the river was mostly dry land with the current on the opposite bank. But by afternoon the water level was up and it was a flowing river on our side again. Just Amazing. It did rain every day we were there so it limited our outside activities and we missed the bean festival and most of the bluegrass music. However the tranquility and beauty of our cabin made up for it. If you go there don’t miss the swing on the wrap around porch. Loved Loved this wonderland place.
